Thanksgiving visitPosted Nov 30, 2013
Pros: Location and room size
Location: easy access to highway, and local attractions. very nice property.
Needed a hotel just for the night after the football game. Turf Valley was beautiful, spacious, and very roomy and comfortable. Will definitely stay there again---

A Confereance Resort with no ongoing Conferences!Posted Aug 31, 2013 on Hotels.com
We needed a place to stay while the fumes from our just-treated wood floors dissipated. Turf Valley -- which I'd been to for conferences -- was "on sale" at Hotels.com so... we gave it a whirl! Marvelous! No big conferences were underway, and thus the peacefulness of the place was palpable! And they had great wi-fi! Highly recommended during conference lulls!

A fine stay, but limited pool hours during weekPosted Jul 18, 2013 on Hotels.com
THIS guest specifically searched for a low-key getaway from the "city" but close enough to DC & Baltimore with a pool and a few specific other amenities--the pool being first and foremost. I was disappointed that the outdoor pool does not open until 11 a.m. during the week--which was one of the main reasons for booking this hotel. Other than missing out on 3 hours (before fight) lounging and working poolside, the stay was adequate.

Turf Valley Stay for Concerts at Merriweather PostPosted Jul 17, 2013 on Hotels.com
This was the perfect location for a long weekend stay for a group of friends that were seeing a 2 night show at the Merriweather Post Paviliion. It was about 20 mins from the venue and easily accessable by cab. The pool area is huge, with plenty of room and lounge chairs for a group. There are cocktails and food available by the pool as well. The rooms that we had were enormous, some with a seperate living room areas & some that were a large room with a sofa bed. The rooms were clean and the air condition was cranking! The resort is a little bit older, but its clear that they take pride in maintaining the property. The restaurant on the property is OK, but extremely convenient while staying there. They had a Sunday brunch buffet/stations with all you can drink bloody marys and mimosas. Easy to navigate, friendly staff, large rooms, and a golf course. Fit our needs perfectly!
