Pros: Location and room size
Location: easy access to highway, and local attractions. very nice property.
Needed a hotel just for the night after the football game. Turf Valley was beautiful, spacious, and very roomy and comfortable. Will definitely stay there again---

It has a great atmosphere; dinner at Alexandria's was superb. Compliments to the chef and staff.

old hotel filled with rude peoplePosted Nov 11, 2013 on Hotels.com
This is the second and last time I stayed there. The resort is old and rooms are not clean. Customer service at the desk again was terrible. When I arrived I was given a key card by disinterested lady at the desk. She forgot to mention which elevator to take. So I ended up walking around the resort looking for my room. At the check out I asked for my receipt and was told by yet another disinterested employee to print it from the Web since I used Hotels.com Do yourself a favor and stay away. The hotel grounds are nice but all else from customer service to room cleanness is well below average.

Great place for our 4-day stayPosted Nov 9, 2013 on Hotels.com
This was my husband and my first time at Turf Valley, and we are very happy that we chose it. We found that the room rates were quite reasonable in comparison to the other hotels/motels we checked out. The hotel is located in a beautiful setting. When we arrived, without even being asked, we were given an upgrade from a Traditional, One Queen Bed room to a Master Suite, One King Bed, as they apparently had vacancies due to their not having a conference going at the time. The desk clerk, noting that a week later we would be returning for two more nights, told us that he would put in an upgrade for the next time as well, even though when we returned there were several conferences going on and the hotel appeared to be packed. Our Master Suite was enormous, with a nice sitting area. The bed was extremely comfortable. The wall paper and curtains were classy, if a bit dated. The very large bathroom had a two-sink bathroom granite countertop, a toilet separated by a translucent glass door, and a spacious shower. For a change, I didn't mind going barefoot in the room where I usually feel I have to wear something on my feet. Everything in the suite had a clean feel to it. The only negative we could think of is that we didn't get a wake-up call one morning. Being located in Ellicot made it convenient to the town's historic district, the airport, and Baltimore. There are plenty of restaurants nearby or a bit farther in the town's historic district.

nice golf resortPosted Oct 25, 2013 on Hotels.com
Hotel grounds were lovely, right on a golf course. The interior is very tasteful and calm. I did not have time to try the spa services.
