“Cheap, clean & comfortable!”

This is certainly an older building, and it shows some signs of wear, but it is kept VERY clean, and everything is in working order. It is family run and the people are very nice. The breakfast was pretty basic: coffee, juice, cereal, some pastries. Being on vacation, I just wanted to hit Poppleton's Pastries in Corning, anyway. There was a fridge, microwave & coffee maker (although there was no blow dryer. I didn't care, bc I had my own, but don't come counting on one). For such a good price and the convenience to Corning, I was VERY impressed and VERY happy with my experience there. I would definitely stay there again.

“very happy here”

I was very pleasantly surprised. For a 2 star hotel, the Corning Inn is more than adequate. The room was clean and comfortable. All the appliances worked. It was quiet at night. The staff was attentive, and the breakfast buffet was very nice. I would definitely stay here again

“nice place and fair price”

Proprieter very helpful. Room was quiet and clean. Non smoking top quality king bed. Only complaint was that the coff had all been consumed when I got to the breakfast room and there was no easy way to get fresh coffee.

“Good service & Great price.”

For the price this place is excellent... although an older building with minor repair needs on the outside of the building and in the bathrooms. It was exceptionally clean!!! that is a big plus. Will definitely use this hotel again in the future.

“Good basic accommodation”

The staff was friendly and helpful. Basic accommodations, clean and comfortable, and affordable rate. No wi-fi, if you have to have that. We were good without it.

“Good for budget-minded travelers”

The Corning Inn is actually a Motel 8. The property is older with no frills, but the managers keep it clean. The beds were firm enough (not always the case, even at higher priced properties). The breakfast room is small but cozy and reminded us of a European hostel or small hotel. The food was continental style (no hot dishes) and replenished frequently. Requests for extra towels were handled immediately. Despite its name, it's actually located in Painted Post, which was a bit farther from our visit destination (Horseheads) than we would have liked - but we enjoyed saving money. The staff was friendly and accommodating.
