“Not my cup of tea”

Pleasant staff and good breakfast. Room is not cleaned regular but they made the bed. burning holes in the bedding. the second floor hallway it way too loud at night. Apparently the bathroom in our room regular clogged. Once maintenance took care of it, I have to clean the bathroom.

“GREAT PLACE FOR THE PRICE”

Hotel was conveniently located with plenty of shopping and food within walking distance. Room was clean and comfortable with a big screen TV. Easy access off of interstate.

“Elmira -Econo Lodge”

Most of the staff was friendly. Bed was made up - no new sheets or pillow cases - just made up. New towels were left on sink, no cups or coffee for the in-room coffee maker. Breakfast was good though...

“My Worst Hotel Experience since 1995”

First, the hotel purports to be in Elmira NY, but is really four interchanges further down the road. To make the Elmira Claim semi justified, they use Elmira and a 9-digit zip code. The check-in clerk was rude when I pointed out the annoyance of having gotten off in Elmira and being told the hotel was one exit further in Horsehead. But it was four exits away and it was over half an hour to find it. There were rowdy inebriated, noisy people in the hall way outside my room for quite a while and other AM loudmouths woke me at 5:30 AM. Unlike other Econo Lodges which I found to be classy motels, this one seems to cater to a vulgar and rude crowd. It dampens my enthusiasm for future stays at other Econo Lodges

“Not impressed!”

We paid way too much for a below average hotel. The room was clean but it was very dated. Staff member was overheard saying "Since we are the only hotel around with open rooms we can charge whatever we want". We paid more for this room than for the 4star hotel1 mile away. We will not go back again.

“Good and clean smelled wonderful when we entered. Small but comfy!!!”

I was pleased our room was quite small but it was clean and neat and was a in a good locatiion, it's surrounded by restaurants and shopping!

“Reasonably priced, prime location”

I was very impressed with the customer service at this little hotel. They really went out of their way to make me and my family seemed welcome. We are not from the area and didn't know what to expect, but i was pleasantly suprised. I loved the breakfast every morning because it gave a variety of different choices which i wasn't expecting because this place was tiny, perhaps 50 rooms, tops. The location was very convenient because there were many stores and restaurants within minutes of the hotel. If you just need a place to stay in this area for a couple nights and don't won't to break the bank to do it, this is the place, plus you would be pleasantly surprised how clean they keep it, because usually little hotels like this don't care enough to keep up with the cleaning.

It was very pleasant for me to be in NY all by myself the staff Melissa Mc Pherson was very friendly! They would have yummy breakfast in the mornings fresh coffee all day long for coffee lovers! Overall nice! I will be back in Dec 2010!
