A wonderful experiencePosted Dec 29, 2014
In an area where there are countless hotels to choose from (around the Arnot Mall and Elmira Airport), the Hampton Inn is a gem. Room was spacious, comfortable, and - above all - CLEAN! One of the perks of the Hampton Inn is that they guarantee that all sheets and duvet covers are changed between each guest. Coffee available around the clock, and complementary breakfast included (we opted to sleep in instead, however).

Comfortable, clean, with very helpful staffPosted Dec 27, 2014
Pros: Number one like was the cleanliness. Number two like was the knowledgeable and helpful staff.
Cons: The handicapped bathroom should have a walk-in shower. The other handicapped room had a walk-in shower but no grab bars at the commode.
Location: Right across the street from the hotel was a giant shopping center -- one of the things I like to see and visit when in another town.
The hotel was comfortable, very clean, with very helpful staff. The bath tub drain was immediately repaired. The front desk clerk came to my room to help with turning off shower to fill bath tub at 11 p.m. when I telephoned for help in working faucets. The staff members in all categories were very friendly and pleasant. The free breakfast went beyond all expectations. The free coffee all day and night in the lobby was a great gift to all guests. Breakfast bags to go are also a brilliant idea.

great hotel near Seneca LakePosted Nov 28, 2014
We traveled to New York to participate in the deck the halls wine tasting around Seneca Lake. We got to the hotel prior to check in. But the staff (especially Sharon) was so kind and patient and she worked to get us into our room early. The entire facility was very clean and beautifully decorated. And the breakfast was amazing! I will definitely stay there again.

Very welcomingPosted Nov 3, 2014
Pros: The whole experience was very pleasant.
Cons: Nothing that I can think of.
Location: There were things close by but our time and attention was focused on a Freshman visit with our niece.
The hotel staff were very welcoming and pleasant. They helped us with maps to our destination at Cornell University. The room was in excellent shape and the beds were very clean. The bathroom was also very clean and there were plenty of towels for our 3 people. I would stay there again if the occasion every arose for a reason other than visiting the campus of Cornell since it was a very long drive back and forth.

Good option if Ithaca hotels are overpricedPosted Oct 21, 2014
I chose to stay at Hampton Inn Elmira-Horseheads while visiting my son at Ithaca College. The hotel options close to Ithaca where either sold out or way overpriced. This hotel is 45 mins away, but since I did not have to go back and forth to Ithaca I decided to give it a try. I had two rooms on the first floor and they were clean and comfortable. Kids loved the indoor pool and breakfast had a couple of hot options and was adequate. I also liked the fact that coffee and tea were available 24/7 in the lobby. I think it is a good secondary option if you can't find lodging in Ithaca and minimize the number of trips to and from the hotel.

Clean hotel, good breakfast, nice staffPosted Oct 18, 2014 on Hotels.com
Everything was fine except that we were given a handicapped accessible room. Hotel could not accomodate us in a different room because whole hotel was fully booked. They said it is hotels.com who requested the handicapped room, but I do not recall requesting one because I do not need one. And honestly there was nothing special about that room that tells me it was handicapp accessible, except the button outside. Hotel was very clean otherwise. Staff was friendly, breakfast was very nice and abundant.
