Just not a great place. Despite renovation it still seemed old and dingy. Not in the best neighborhood either

Great location, nice hotel.

Pros: The staff was very friendly and helpful, really stood out.
Cons: Bar was too dark and a few patrons loud & profane, which was unpleasant.
Last minute trip for family event, hotel was perfect.

Great hotel in da hood

Found a drunk woman with no clothes screaming for help in the hallway we left immediately we were told the pool was open until 10:00 but got there at 8:55 to find it closing

We sincerely apologized that you were inconvenienced during your stay with us. A guest fell, security and the hotel staff were alerted and on the scene very quickly tending to the situation, while they awaited the arrival of the ambulance. All of our guests are very important to us and we apologize for the activity and commotion in the hallway but our first priority was to take care of the injured guest.

Stayed in hotel for a few days while visiting family. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and breakfast was satisfying. I wish the restaurant had some windows but they've got art on the wall that tries to make up for it.

Cons: nothing comes to mind
Location: location is close to the interstate and to points of interest in Elmira and surroundings
Facilities were nice, staff was friendly, and the motel is a good value

Helped a stranded traveller!!

My reservation with another motel had been cancelled last minute. It was 12:30AM and I was exhausted and travelling with my dog. Thankfully, this Holiday Inn found me a pet-friendly room on the ground floor near a doorway without any hassle. The staff was wonderful, especially the gal at the front desk, though it took a while because my new reservation via Hotels.com didn't show up on their email inbox--even though I had a confirmation email on my mobile phone.

Convenient and great staff

Pros: Quiet location but within walking distance of town. Running path close by. Loved having a fridge and microwave in the room. The staff was awesome.
Cons: Decor/baths getting a bit tired.
Location: Close to Elmira restaurants, running path, nearby attractions.
Staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, rooms and bed were comfortable. Nice view of the river (or canal maybe?) and a nice running/biking trail less than a quarter mile away.
