“Great Location and good deal”

This hotel is just a half block from the beautiful Ely Cathedral. This is a comfortable and fun place to stay with a lively pub on the first floor with excellent food. Warning, this hotel has no lift, so be prepared to carry luggage upstairs. Parking is tight, so arrive early for a spot. Breakfast with room was excellent with many choices. Nice large comfortable room and bathroom. Highly recommend this place.

“Very standard English Inn chain hotel”

This is very standard english inn, with all the fitting, fixtures and food of any other in the chain. The car parking is very poor i.e. non-existant if you arrive after 2pm!!

“Terrible little single bed”

Stayed for one night to go to a local restaurant with friends. I only live 20 miles away but the train service is poor. The hotel has been nicely renovated, and the bar service was good, although reception was often unattended. The room was nicely decorated with a nice bathroom, but the bed was simply dreadful. A 3ft wide very soft mattress, so I felt like I was going to fall out, and my feet poked out at the bottom. I am just 6ft tall. Also, there was strong street lighting outside of my window (room 1) and the curtain was too short to block this out. Not a wink of sleep all night, so I checked out at 5.30 am and drove home to get some sleep, missing the included breakfast. No-one in reception to leave key with, and I could not get to it anyway as it was all locked up. The "single" room was easily big enough to accommodate a 4ft 6 ins bed.
