"Beautiful Villa"
We had the most amazing stay at Villa Dianella. Perfect room, delicious breakfast, beautiful property, and amazing staff. We were surrounded by the olive trees and grape vines and the garden and building were very well maintained. I would highly recommend getting a car though because it is not too close to anything other than the small town. I can't recommend this place enough!

"Lovely Villa, Lovely owners, Lovely staff"
A Lovely Place to stay. True Tuscan Villa style. Very helpful and friendly staff. The small reception area in manned a for a few hours each day by a lovely, friendly and helpful English speaking lady. We felt truly looked after. The overall accommodation was lovely. However some areas could do with a little up-dating. For example a very old TV with speakers that made a buzzing sound. The shower just had a curtain, and it was impossible to have a shower without the floor getting absolutely soaking wet to an inch thick in water, no matter how hard we tried. Stunning views. Lovely village below with good supermarket. Lovely pool area. Very friendly owners, who held a wonderful meal each week for all the guests, which was included in the cost of the stay, and made you feel very welcome. I would definitely recommend the villas to family and friends.

"Picturesque Tuscany Dream to Watch the World go by"
This villa- bed and breakfast is exceptional. The property is more stunning than the pictures. It truly is a home away from home. We found it very peaceful after visiting the bigger cities. The entire staff offers exceptional service. They truly went out of their way to make our stay a splendid and memorable experience. Rooms are spacious and immaculately clean. Gourmet kitchen for cooking! The breakfast and dining area overlooking the Tuscany hills is worth the stay! The homemade foods, bakeries, jams and local fruits were delicious and accompanied by coffee made to your personal preference. Also, a well stocked selection of local wines for evenings in. We appreciated green living with recyling for everything. Take time to visit old Certaldo. You will have a wonderful experience without the crowds! We loved our time here and hope to return.

"Only 3-stars, a bit disappointing."
My son and I only stayed overnight, so we didn't have time to enjoy the pool (which looked nice) or any of the other amenities, but I was underwhelmed by both the accommodations and restaurant. The apartment was on two floors. The first floor was a kitchen and seating area; upstairs was the bedroom and bath. The decor attempted "Italian modern" in style, but are now quite worn. Our rooms were dark, even when we opened the wooden shutters and turned on the lights. Worse, however, were the smells. On entering, I noticed a strong odor of (what I believed to be) insecticide. While I appreciate the desire to prevent the the guests from encountering insect or rodent pests, it would have been nicer to have the apartment aired out prior to occupancy. When I opened the kitchen cabinet which contained the sink, it smelled of mold. I'm guessing the kitchen (located within two cabinets) is rarely used. Overall, the apartment did not have the luxury feel portrayed by the website. The restaurant also fell a bit short. The lounge area was empty during dinner and breakfast, but they had club music with a thumping bass going all the time. Since we only saw guests with small children, the "hip" music seemed out of place. The menu was limited for guests who were not on the "all-inclusive" package. Dinner was OK, but it took 30 minutes to get our check after we requested it: slow even by Italian standards :-). Breakfast was fine - pastries, cold cuts, cheese, juice and coffee.
