“Great Overnight Stay!”

The hotel room was extremely clean and very comfortable. The front desk was helpful when we needed more bath towels. The hotel pool was small but fine. The BEST part of the stay was the amazing free breakfast in the morning. It was way more then a standard continental breakfast. This made the hotel worth it! It made getting on the road a lot easier.

We enjoyed our brief stay. Our only complain is that the hallway smelled of smoke and our room a little as well. We were on a floor that was only half non-smoking and we were dead center so the room next to ours was smoking. Other than that, it was a great stay. We got there too late to have much of an experience there, so there's not much I can comment on. Teenage daughter enjoyed the WiFi and it was easy to access. Pretty good breakfast choices, though the only fruit available was bananas, so I probably didn't eat as healthily as normal. We would stay there again if we needed to be in that area, but I would ask for a totally non-smoking floor or at least a room away from the smokers.

Very clean, comfortable beds, fluffy towels and even a tub!! Loved the breakfast that included eggs and sausage, as well as the regulars. Coffee was excellent. This was more than we expected at a great price. If you're looking for an area that has things to do or lots of tourist attractions, this is no the place. But, if you are looking for an overnight stay on a trip, we highly recommend this great hotel.

The free breakfast helped us a lot - there was hot food and a variety so everyone could eat, and we had 8 people in two rooms so it saved us some money.

The Holiday Inn Express in Emporia, VA is the best place to stay. The Hotel staff were all wonderful (so accommodating). The rooms are super comfy and clean. They serve a simple breakfast with all of the regular food items you would expect. There is even an instant pancake maker (so cute). There is a fridge and microwave in every room which comes in handy. There is a pool and a patio area. The enclosed pool is 4ft 9 deep (not olympic sized) ,but adequate. If you select this hotel you will not be disappointed. I would suggest after booking this hotel through Expedia you call the hotel directly to ensure that your room request is met. I booked 2 queen bed rooms and 2 king bed rooms and when I checked in all the rooms were queen beds. Holiday Inn said it was Expedias fault although my confirmations stated 2 King bed rooms it was not sent to Holiday Inn Express properly.

This was my first time in the hotel and I loved it. The staff was helpful and nice. Loved the cookies, good breakfast. I would recommend this hotel to my friends. The only concern...the surrounding neighborhood. Other than that, staying at this hotel was a pleasant experience.

“Good for travelers along I-95”

The Holiday Inn Express is a no frills motel directly off of I-95 making it a convenient location. The staff was friendly and helped us with a crib for our toddler, even late at night. The room itself was older, but clean enough. It was extremely hot during our arrival which was due to a heater that was difficult to control. We did not participate in the morning breakfast. Checkout was fast and painless. Overall, the hotel lived up to expectations.
