A little gemPosted Nov 27, 2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel hasn't got five stars for amenities but delivers 5 star service & friendliness. Glyn & Aida were great hosts & could not have done more to make my stay comfortable.

A relaxing hotel of character.Posted Oct 5, 2014
Pros: The breakfast menu was excellent, the atmosphere welcoming & relaxing,
Location: Central to Babbacombe, local restaurants and shops. It is within easy reach of beaches & a quiet location from which to explore South Devon & Dartmoor
Our 4 day stay in the airy bedroom overlooking the swimming pool was a delight.

Nice hotel with outdoor heated swimming poolPosted Sep 21, 2014
Pros: Heated outdoor pool, tastefully furnished hotel, comfortable well equipped room, spacious balcony, excellent breakfasts, on-site parking
Cons: Lounge was a little dark and over-furnished. There were many personalised items on display which made us feel we were intruding on a family area.
Location: Peaceful location within easy walking distance of centre of Babbacombe and nearby parks. Frequent bus services into Torquay from bus stop close by.
Excellent welcome on arrival with pot of tea and friendly chat with Glyn. We were shown two available rooms and selected Room 15 with a spacious balcony overlooking the swimming pool and garden. The room was well equipped and comfortable. We booked a three-night stay in early September and found this a peaceful location within easy walking distance of the centre of Babbacombe. Excellent breakfasts provided by Glyn and Aida in the spacious dining room overlooking the pool and garden. We will definitely return here again.

Ggreat servicePosted Sep 4, 2014 on Hotels.com
The owners and their staff couldn't do enough for us, nothing was too much trouble. The room was a bit on the small side, but it was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, and plenty of choice. The personal attention that the owners give is such a refreshing change from that of the impersonal chain hotels.

Nice hotel, outdoor pool, fabulous hostsPosted Aug 22, 2014
Pros: Hosts, outdoor pool/garden area, cleanliness, location, free parking
Cons: Staff (and their friends) should not smoke by the pool - is very unpleasant. Also bathroom facilities in our ensuite need upgrading/modernising.
Location: 5 mins walk from Babbacombe village and stunning views of the bay; 5 mins drive from Torquay. Very handy.
We stayed 12 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Hosts go out of their way to ensure you have all that you need, and the fruit salad at breakfast is the best I've ever tasted! The outdoor pool and garden area was lovely for cooling off on a hot day.
