Peace and tranquility with beautiful gardens.Posted Jul 8, 2014
Pros: The feeling of space and peacefulness.
Cons: Access from one wing to another.
Location: The location is beautiful - inside the grounds of Powerscourt Estate. Powerscourt Waterfall is well worth a visit with a picnic.
We recently visited to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. We were not disappointed! The hotel is a tranquil haven. The foyer has plenty of seating and wonderful views over the gardens through the wall of windows that make up the back wall. Members of staff were very attentive and pleasant. The swimming pool was great - and when we used it about 9.30 am there wasn't another soul there. Definitely worth a visit, especially if you like gardens. (Powerscourt House with its wonderful gardens is right next door as well as a garden centre.) For shoppers there is a very nice shopping complex within the old Powerscourt House. All in all, a very enjoyable stay and good value for money on Expedia!

I stay for 3 days 2 nights. from 30th December to 1St Jan. the hotel are great, best hotel i ever stay. But one thing was when i check in i asked the staff in the reception to see any table for NYE dinner, He said he has to check with the restaurant manager and let me know, unfortunate on one comes back to me. this is the only disappointment i come across. The rest so great. will book again.

Great first stop in our tour of IrelandPosted Dec 29, 2013 on Hotels.com
This hotel has a lot to offer. The service was fantastic. The breakfast was one of the best in Ireland and BTW we only stayed in 5 star hotels the whole trip. The pub food was average but the service was very good.I liked the room because it authentic (very castle-ish) but the bathroom designer should be fired, our bathroom was updated but badly designed. The shower was so small that my tall thin husband could not get in it to close the door, half his body stuck out, it was actually kinda funny. Funny when you're there only 1 night, then not so much.. Other than that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!Ohh, I will mention this... while in Dublin PLEASE use your phone to open google maps or you will be hopelessly lost, Dublin has ZERO signage on the streets if you're driving.
