Overall it was okPosted Aug 20, 2013 on Hotels.com
Spent a night at the Summerhill House Hotel. Value for money was good with dinner and a Spa treatment combined for an overnight stay. Dinner was a simple affair but value wise it was ok with standard vegetable soup and fish and chips on offer. The Spa treatment was enjoyable although this is not a full service Spa. Relaxing in the Spa Bath is interrupted by guests and beauticians walking back and forth between the treatment rooms. Change rooms for the men is rather cramped and there is limited space to relax between treatments. Service was good in the hotel staff worked hard to make your stay enjoyable. Comfortable overnight stay but it would not be my choice for a weekend away.

Opportunity beggingPosted Sep 20, 2012 on Hotels.com
The village of Enniskerryand the surrounding areas is spectacular nada highlight of our trip to Ireland. The Summerhill House Hotel is exceptionally well located to to enjoy this experience. The staff are wonderful and will happily do anything to ensure your stay is first class. Unfortunately it is obvious the people who own the hotel are more interested in their flinancial returns than maintaining a hotel that has the potential to be 5-star than putting in the maintenance to ensure it is up to this standard. Sitting in the lobby to accesss the Wi-Fi Internet connection was an experience. Client after client were reporting maintenance issues which are unacceptable at a hotel in such a prestigious part of Ireland. I would strongly suggest that unless some serious maintenance is undertaken shortly this wonderful old hotel will slip beyond repair. The village of Enniskerry is wonderful, this hotel is ideally situated and is an opportunity begging for rescue.

attended for wedding 30/12/11 booked into courtyard room cold electric radiator in place on timer. unable to get it working . cleaner on site at the time asked her how it worked she went down stairs and turned on trip switch which worked for a few minutes. went to reception and informed her of problem was assured it would be sorted.this was at 5 30 pm . returned to room which was in the courtyard 3 hours later but room very cold and no hot water. again informed receptionist who stated in a blaze manner that she had informed manager. I informed her that I wished to see the manager and would stay put until he sorted problem. She then went to to get the person in charge who arrived but he also had a blaze attitude and informed me there was a problem with trip switch again he switched it on and said he would check it in 1 hour but he was no sooner back in main building when it went off again. I went back to reception and requested to be moved in to main building which was granted. . I just wondered why if there was a problem why it was not sorted before a client was booked in.????

Lovely room, comfortable bed, nice dining room, staff, and excellent breakfast. Good value for the money. Quiet setting without the noise from cars.

Could be really good - but isn'tPosted Aug 8, 2011 on Hotels.com
This hotel has the potential and the location to be really good. But it isn't. Pretty grumpy on check in - receptionist would rather talk to the other staff member than the guest. Room nice and clean but needed basic maintenance carrying out (large gash in wall - room 613). Very sloppy service - bottles and glasses (some broken) left outside from 7pm one day to 7pm the following.

We stayed for 1 night. The hotel was lovely, staff really friendly and efficent. We had a Kingsize Double room and it was really nice. The room was huge and bed very comfortable. Breakfast next morning was buffet hot and cold and was very good. Hotel very close to Powerscourt House and Gardens.
