“Excellent”

This was our second stay at Quality Inn Riverview. It was very clean and the staff was very friendly. The free breakfast was very impressive with a great variety. We will definitely stay here again.

“Very good”

The room was better than we expected. Very clean and comfortable. The location was ideal for us. Plus there is a nice diner next door on one side and a Super K and other places on the other side. They also have a washer and drier on site. That was very convenient for us.We'll definitely stay there next time we visit the grandkids.

Clean, well kept. Front desk attendant was friendly and helpful. Great diner next door without having to drive anywhere - you can walk there. Close to HACC and Farm Show Complex.

“Clean, comfortable, and quiet”

I've stayed here several times while in Harrisburg on business, but not for a couple of years. It's still good. While not a luxurious place, it's a great value and very convenient to downtown Harrisburg and Camp Hill. It has the three things I look for in a motel: it's clean, it's comfortable, and it's quiet. My room was immaculate. Also the staff is super friendly and there's a good diner next door. I noticed that another reviewer complained about the small pillows, but I guess some people are just hard to please (hey--just use more pillows); I found the bed and the (small) pillows very comfortable. My only complaint is that there's no elevator, which made it tough because I recently had surgery. Also, I suggest asking for a room at the back (as mine was), away from the highway. I didn't have the free breakfast but the coffee was good. Overall, I'd stay here again any time.

“Watch extra charges!!”

Was informed ahead of time of a $13.33 charge for extra person. Requested a rollaway bed, was confirmed. Upon arrival was told in addition to extra person charge, there was a $25/night charge for the rollaway bed, bringing the total for the extra person to $38.33! Manager refused to budge on cost, so he'll never see me there again, hope the extra $50 was worth it!

“good hotel for the money”

Yes the lock still does not work on the side hotel door Thought the cont. breakfast was fair at best.Not bad but I have had better. Get the room in the rear of the hotel as the train yard is right across the street and the high pitch sreech from the trains goes on all day and night. We had no problem as we had a room facing the rear and kept the bathroom fan on. Otherwise pretty fair hotel

“Unsecured doors on the side, Moldy Coffee Pot, need I say More!!!”

I arrived at the hotel late Wednesday night, around 1am. Check-in was not an issue and we had our keys in just a minute. This is where it starts to go bad. The clerk told us to just drive around to the side to come in, the door is unlocked. Why at 1am in the morning is the side security door unlocked? It should never be unlocked, especially at 1am. Well, we proceeded to drive around the side, and yes the door was unlocked. Actually it was never locked during my stay. Upon entering the room I noticed an odor, I figured maybe it was the stale smoke from previous hotel guests. Being that it was now approaching 1:30am and we had a business meeting the next morning, we better get to bed. The next morning I awoke and went to make a pot of coffee, but I now discovered the smell. The coffee pot was dirty and not only had the old bag still in it, but the coffee was completely moldy. I called the front desk and told them I'd back this afternoon, can you fix this please? 2pm I arrived back at the hotel, and my moldy coffee pot was still there. I unplugged it and brought it to the front desk. The young lady asked if I'd like her to wash it. I said no thanks. I asked if I could speak to a manager and was told there wouldn't be one in until Monday. Reflecting on my way back to the room, I realized it's a long time from Thursday until Monday to have no manager. I called Choice Hotels and asked to have a manager from the hotel call me, but almost a week later I have heard nothing back.
