Great B&B!Posted Oct 4, 2013
Everything was excellent! The Inn and our host could not have been better! Breakfast was delicious, location was perfect to see many nearby towns. Makes you wonder why anyone would stay in a Hotel?

great place to bePosted Jul 9, 2013 on Hotels.com
Excellent B&B in every way. It's the best we've stayed in, and the price is reasonable. It's close to places to excercise, good restaurants, historic towns, and the food at the Inn is wonderful. The hosts are very helpful and we will go back again. Thank you, Rebecca and Dave!

As good as it looks in the brochurePosted Jul 6, 2013 on Hotels.com
This was a very enjoyable stay at the Historic Smithton. In the past, we've stayed at some b&b's that look good in the brochure but have shortcomings to a point that I wouldn't return. The Historic Smithton is no disappointment! The red room has a refrigerator, ample closet space, a fan in the bathroom (rarity these days), four poster bed, and a fireplace! The breakfast is delicious and filling. We would return if we're in that area. Good base for Amish country, Hershey, Valley Forge, Harrisburg, etc.

This was our first time at a B&B, and my wife and I had a lot of fun. The Inn keeper was very friendly, and wanted to know as much as possible about her guests. Breakfast was great, the dog was funny, and the rooms were very well kept.

We were very impressed with the renovation and beauty of the building and all the rooms. We enjoyed meeting Rebecca and her fabulous breakfasts! We will definitely stay at the Smithton Inn again.

OutstandingPosted Nov 1, 2012 on Hotels.com
I would consider myself an incredibly picky individual. Working in both hospitality and as a chef, I have high standards for both. Not only did Smithton meet my standards but also surpassed any expectations. The owners covered all of my admittedly irritating dietary restrictions, providing us with delicious high quality breakfast each morning (Sunday morning I didn't feel up to getting out of bed and voila! breakfast in bed!), yummy snacks in our room and great recommendations for dinner, etc. The room and inn were the most desirable blend of historic (wide plank floors, fireplaces, hand crafted quilts and furniture) and modern luxury (high thread count linens, spa towels and mats, robes, wifi). I've never not wanted to leave a place more! We actually tried to book the following weekend for friends and they were sold out. Needless to say, we will be back, and recommending this sweet getaway to all of our friends.
