“Ok for quick winter stay”

The pool area was warm and inviting. The room was clean. Only thing disliked was the breakfast. New type of scrambled eggs were unedible. Also heard that from other patrons, some were kids. Other items not stocked well. Acceptable for quick overnighter to go skiing, but not long term.

“Hot water would be nice!”

This hotel had friendly receptionists, a clean atmosphere and adequet breakfasts. One should be reimbursed and accomidated when the guest has not hot water to shower with.

“We will not stay this hotel”

The location of this hotel is very good. You can find it very easy because it is close from high way. The staff service was not good. I found that the hair dryer was malfunction and informed the staff to give us new one. But they did not give us any information to replace new dryer or fix it. Also, our family went to the restaurant near the lake which the hotel staff recommended. This is one of the worst resturant in terms of quality of foods.

“Very Noisy”

Check in time was 3 pm. We arrived at 6pm and were told our rooms were not ready. Counter personell were not sympathetic or apologetic. We were on first floor. VERY noisy. We could hear doors closing, people walking above, and at 6:30 am heard the adjoining room's alarm clock go off! Had to leave the television on just to try and drown out the outside noises. Breakfast was disappointing. Although there was a variety of foods, most were empty, and the power kept going off to the breakfast bar. We had to wait almost 15 minutes just to toast a bagel. Doubt if we will be back.

“Lacking cleanliness here”

I had stayed in many Holiday inn Express. This one was very dissapointing. Our room was filthy. When you pulled the comforter back we had dirty bed sheets. Went down to complain and we got moved to another room which was a double bed instead of a king that I paid for. That room was filthy too. I asked to go to another area of the state but they sent house keeper to our original room to change the bedding so we stayed. You would think that they would have done some type of refund or offer something. I guess some managers dont care about thier customers. Where is the QA here?

“Not impressed”

The hotel employees were very nice and courteous. The breakfast was very good. My biggest complaint. The first room that I was given had mold growing around the bathtub and the tile on the wall adjacent to the bathtub. I pointed this out to the receptionist. She inspected the room and gave us another room. This room was cleaner, however, there was mold growing on the edge of the shower curtian in this room.. I did not complain about the second room, since it was obvious to me that no one was conducting inspections of the room. Recommend that whoever is responsible for housekeeping be evaluated to ensure that this problem doesn't continue. I will never stay at this particular Holiday Inn in the future. I will not recommend it to anyone.

“"Not Impressed"”

I feel that Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites North East was misrepresented in their website. The pool was much smaller than we expected, and none of the rooms came with a jacuzzi, like the website said. The "suite" wasn't any bigger than a normal hotel room anywhere else, and the free continental breakfast was very disappointing. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone, especially not for the price I paid. The hot tub was also unbearably hot, and the hotel staff took a long time to respond to a request for extra towels. The fold-out couch had wrinkled bed sheets already on it, which made me think they weren't changed after the last guest. I was honestly surprised with the quality of the hotel, as I expected a lot more.

“Needs new management!”

Talk about rude... The desk clerk, (or according to him) the General Manager talked to several customers and guests on the phone during check in. Albeit he was rude to the people looking for a place to stay, he was even more rude to a guest calling the front desk for help. He hung up on her at least twice. Very arrogant. I also called the hotel prior to my stay at the hotel. He was just as rude to me then as he was to others that called. I'm sure it was the same person. I stay primarily at Holiday Inn Express hotels, mainly for pleasure. I've never seen someone act as though I needed them more than they needed me. It was "his way or the highway"; you don't like, leave! Not exactly the best way to treat weary travelers. I guess business must be that good...
