hotel had permanent staying guests.

Pros: Close to Presques Isle area attractions.
Cons: everything
Location: Presques Isle beaches, lake area and amusement parks.
Room smelled musty, carpet was disgustingly dirty, bathrooms drains were clogged, had to ask for bathroom tissue, TV only had little selection of channels, permanent guests smoked outside our room and used our space. no coffee or breakfast items for weekday guests.

a far below-average, disappointing motel

Posted Apr 22, 2014
Pros: close to the Presque Isle Park
Cons: many things, just visit other motels and check them out.
Location: didn't find something interesting there.
1. WiFi service was on the list, but the real answer is "sorry", you has to stay at reception office for checking emails. 2. no breakfast service available, although the hotel reservation website said so, asking why, the answer was simply "sorry". 3. actually, even you want some boiled water to make tea, the answer is "sorry". 4. showering sink is stuck (room at the corner), you have to have a quick shower, otherwise, you feet will be in half-foot deep water. 5. you have to wait for a long time to have hot water of shower. So don't take off too quickly. 6. TV is terrible, too. you must have a MIT degree to understand and handle the remote.

The motel has gone downhill since we stayed there

Posted Sep 30, 2013
Pros: The only thing I liked was the location.
Cons: Different management and staff
There was a beer can in the garbage can when we arrived Fri. and was still there when we left Sun. Our room was not touched Sat. had to go to the office and get towels when we got back Sat. evening. When we checked out after eight AM Sun morning the office was still locked and no one was on duty.

Erie's Bates Motel

Sketchy characters, glitter on the sheets, filthy rugs, linen with stains on every piece. Lack of rooms anywhere else in area for our party made it the true place of last resort.

Nice motel - close to the beach & restaurants.

Pros: The staff was excellent. They were very helpful with all of our needs.
Cons: The curtains were broken in our room, but everything else was okay.
Location: It is located on Peninsula Drive, so getting to the Peninsula was easy. There were plenty of restaurants and shops nearby, too.
The staff was first-rate. They heated the pool so that my son could swim. He had a ball!

I liked that this hotel was close to Lake Erie.

Posted Jul 24, 2013
Pros: I like that you can park outside the room. The staff was very nice.
Cons: Everything!
Location: Close to Lake Erie with the water park, fishing, swimming, the cause-way. The casino is close. Very nice.
The staff did the best to accomodate us. But this hotel is definitely in need of a major overhaul. Definitely NOT worth the price.

Camping at state park would have been nicer.

Worst Ever!

Posted Jul 6, 2013
Pros: Not much, other than leaving.
Cons: The hotel needs a major make-over. Scrubbing the carpets once in a while would help and daily Febreeze for a few months might take away the smell.
Location: There seemed to be ample restaurants and shopping near by. Not a bad location at all.
The staff was OK. They were missing in action most of the time, but friendly when they were there. The room we were in was atrocious. The smoke-free room smelled like an ashtray and we were only in the room about 20 minutes when we discovered that all of our feet were blackened by the very greasy carpet. Still not sure what was on it, but it took a while to clean our feet. We found old clothes in the bathroom, which was a good indication of why the bathroom did not appear clean. Another horrible part was the construction on the exit. They not only had it blocked off for construction, but they had a large trailer parked in it, just off the road that completely blocked the view from opposing traffic when trying to pull out of the entrance. It was bad. I wouldn't even recommend it for truckers and construction workers if it was 20 bucks a night.
