“Not Satisfied”

Room was not clean. We left a request for a wake up call and never received the call. Office staff passed the blame about the wake up call and did not know how to take charge off credit card so we could pay cash. Very good restaurant next door. Premisis of hotel was awful. Did not feel safe. Pop and ice machines broken.

“not impresses”

The floor in the room was filthy. Some parts hadn't been vacumned in quite a while. The breakfast was a joke. I got what I paid for. Should have spent $50 more for the hotel next door.

“Sweepless in North East”

We reserved a non-smoking room, but our reservation was confirmed as a smoking room., We called Expedia to correct the reservation. The operator dialed the motel and took care of the correction while we were on the phone. However, when we arrived, the motel clerk said they had no notification of any change. They did make the change while we waited. We arrived into a stone cold room. It took us 20 minutes to figure out how to turn the heat on. It took another 30 minutes to warm up. The spare bed was disheveled. The extra blankets were rolled up in a ball and shoved into the overhead rack. The floor was not swept in the corners. When we brought it to the attention of management, the manager said, "We've been busy." The next day we told the clerk that we wanted the room swept. She said she would have housekeeping take care of it. It was never done. Otherwise, the romm was clean...no bed bugs!

Wilderness Lodge XC Ski Touring Center, Wattsburg, PA is a Rustic Country Inn built of hand hewn beams and granite with stone fireplace, Bar which serves Local Brewery Beers, and restaurant for breakfast and lunches. they have 30 kilometers of groomed trails and several feet of Lake Effect Snow. Freeport Restaurant, rtes 5 & 89, North East, PA in the heart of Wine Country on Lake Erie....Their Batter fried Perch Dinner is the cat's meow. Their Pime Rib is one of their specialties. They wonderful and delicious Home Made French Fires...much more than you can eat! Best of all are their homemade desserts. Our personal favorite...Bread Pudding with Whiskey Sauce. WOW! As good as Peg Leg Pete's in Fort Walton Beach, FL. Their char-broiled Bacon Burger is most excellent. They smoke their own meats. They double smoke their bacon which they sell by the pound. The Best!

Getting around

You want to be prepared when driving in the Snow Belt Region of Pennsylvania and New York. The roads leading to Peek-n- Peak and Wilderness Lodge are snow covered and slippery. If you have 4-whell drive, use it. Snow tires are essential.

They wonderful and delicious Home Made French Fires...much more than you can eat! Best of all are their homemade desserts. Our personal favorite...Bread Pudding with Whiskey Sauce. WOW! As good as Peg Leg Pete's in Fort Walton Beach, FL. Their char-broiled Bacon Burger is most excellent. They smoke their own meats. They double smoke their bacon which they sell by the pound. The Best!
