“Great location and comfortable room”

We were in Erie for a soccer tournament. This hotel was not only in a great location for that, it was a comfortable and clean. The breakfast satisfied everyone in our family - there was even fresh fruit available all day. The price was comprable to the other hotels right around it so it was also a good value. We would definitely choose to stay here again.

“Nothing special, but sufficient”

The windows are only covered by sheers...sunlight came pouring in at dawn, waking my whole family. Cable channels left a lot to be desired...numerous sports channels, a few news channels, but not much else. But, the room was clean and the staff was friendly. And the breakfast buffet was at least as good as most hotels we've stayed in, so no complaints there.

“Great hotel, but uncomfortable mattress”

The hotel staff were super friendly and the breakfast was better than most. We were very pleased with our king jacuzzi suite (which was huge), But the mattress was extremely uncomfortable. We're used to memory Foam and this mattress left us very stiff and sore in the morning. Good thing for the jacuzzi! Which had a tv mounted on the wall so you Could watch and relax in the jacuzzi at the same time!

“Everything was beautiful. Will stay there again!”

Lobby was very welcoming, as were the employees. The King Suite we booked was very spacious and clean. Everything was immaculate. Check-in and Check-out was a breeze and the breakfast was impressive with waffles, fruit, hard boiled eggs, and sweet rolls, to name a few. The breakfast area is very spacious also. Will definitely stay there again.

Area recommendations

We always enjoy Presque Isle and the Erie Bayfront area. Sara's restaurant at the entrance of Presque Isle is a must. A sunset cruise on the Lady Kate, by Perry Monument is a wonderful way to end the day. The Niagra is amazing. If it is docked by the Maritime Museum, a tour is definitely in order. We have been there for Celebrate Erie (mid August). You can't beat the entertainment and food and crafts along the street in downtown Erie, not to mention the fireworks on Sun eve!. We make the trip just for Celebrate Erie. There is no lack of entertainment or things to do, places to shop and eat in the Erie area. The prices of nearly everything is very reasonable. Presque Isle is always free as is Celebrate Erie and the Tom Ridge Center.

Events and shows

Celebrate Erie is a must! It's a mid-august event on State Street in downtown Erie. Admission is free and the entertainment is awesome. Music for all ages. The main stage features national artists on Sat and Sun eve's and the firework show on the tower at Dobbins Landing after the last Sunday musical performance is more than words can describe. The chalk drawings on the street are amazing. There is entertainment and music for all ages and an area just for the kids. Definitely a must attend event!!!

“Nice hotel”

I'd never stayed at a Wyndham hotel before, but was looking for a place in Erie, and chose this hotel because of other good reviews. I thought the hotel was great. It was clean, well lit, with a nice staff at the front desk. I didn't hear any noise from rooms around us, and my kids loved the waffle machine they had at the breakfast buffett. It was a great place to stop for the night.
