The worst value for money in our month in SE Asia

Posted Nov 17, 2014
Pros: Location, Breakfast OK, The room setup with a separate sitting room was very nice, would suit the business traveller if the WiFi worked.
Cons: Nice room but do not really understand why they cheeped out with a regular double bed rather than at least a Queen where there was easily space.
Location: Good Location - close to Rizel Park & Intermuros
Facilites: Had problems with in room WiFi, had to use the business centre, even after they sent a techie to try get it going. The Pool area was horrible, more like an unkempt empty parking lot with a pool and a few cheap faded & damaged out plastic recliners - did not use it due to this! TV cable service went out, and one of the TVs never recovered while we were there.

One Night Stay

My stay was acceptable, but unfortunately the Hotel closes at the end of October. There is no atmosphere in the Hotel possibly due to the fact all the staff are aware of the closure, due to lack of guests.

The room was nice and clean But the only thing so not was good was ... I did ask for a service car to come and pick us up at the airport in Manila But they did newer get the message, and I did try to ask on there home page to. In the end did we get a taxi to a werry good price, but not through the hotel. All in all did we like the hotel and I belive we will come back

Great boutique hotel in a downtown area

Posted Sep 22, 2014
Pros: The staff really made my stay at this hotel very pleasant. The rooms are good and the food at Cafe Noir was delicious.
Location: The Ermita Robinsons Place shopping centre is about 1km away and the Manila Zoo is also within walking distance.
This hotel is opposite the boardwalk on Roxas Bvd about 1km from the main Ermita shops. I don't think it is in the general "touristy" areas and would not have stayed in Ermita/Malate had I not had business to do there. I felt safe within the hotel and the staff certainly knew how to look after me. Even with the wild weather that occurred while I was there (Typhoon Luis and Tropical Storm Mario), they made sure that all was okay with me. Although during my stay there was a number of building works nearby (and especially next door), I did not hear or feel any disruptions. The only downside to my whole stay was when part of the building next door was being demolished and they knocked out the entire telecommunications for the G Hotel. That meant there was no phone lines into or out of the hotel nor wifi. This was by NO means any fault of the hotel and the staff were exceptional in their helpfulness when I needed outside lines to make critical phone calls (one staff member even allowed me to use their own personal mobile phone to make the calls). Overall, although I didn't go out at night, the G Hotel is close enough to restaurants and clubs for people to enjoy the nightlife in Ermita/Malate. The Manila Zoo is just a walk away (even though I didn't have the opportunity to go) and a quick taxi ride will take you anywhere you need if you choose not to walk. The hotel facilities were great and the staff couldn't be more helpful or friendly.

Inner city suite, 2 rooms

Posted Sep 4, 2014 on Hotels.com
we stayed for 4 nights and wanted a convenient location, we chose the larger room of 60m2 and were surprised we had a lounge, kitchen and separate ensuite bathroom with a balcony. This area has a building site next door and we asked if we could be moved to the other side of the hotel, which they did. Staff were very professional and helpful. The breakfast was very mixed and suit all tastes, we enjoyed the variety of the buffet. The pool on the upper level is small and not like a resort pool, we didn't use. This area is improving and opposite there is usually live music which we could hear in our room at night, but we enjoyed. You will usually need a taxi to go to most places and 200-300 pesos is about the rate everywhere including the airport. The Hotel has a shuttle but was expensive, not sure why so much unless there are 4 of your. Cable has lots of channels but no EPL soccer, boo hoo. Would stay again.

Good Location

Posted Aug 26, 2014 on Hotels.com
The location is of the hotel is very nice, near some major points of interest in Manila. The location is good but for some reason you might need some explaining to do with some taxi drivers in location this hotel, some drivers just don't have an idea where it is. Overall though, my stay was really really good, friendly, smiling, helpful staff, clean rooms, nice location, really nice experience.

This was our third stay and as always we were not disappointed. There is something about the hotel that makes you feel relaxed and at home. Great breakfast with lots to choose from.
