“Just Right for the Money”

this hotel was pretty nice. It was a hot day when we arrived, but the room was cool when we walked in and that was definitely a plus. We asked staff for directions to a good restaurant and they recommended a great one - after they recommended the one next door - which would have been fine, but we wanted something a little fancier for a birthday celebration. The room was clean and so was the bathroom (a big plus), though it looked a bit dated.

“I'll be back in June!”

The hotel was more than your basic room with a bed and restroom. The staff lady was very nice and accommodating. The room was clean and fresh. The pool and spa was available heated and clean. The restaurants on either side the hotel were nice and the food at the Mexican restaurant was tremendous. I would recommend this hotel for anyone needing a clean affordable place to stay. It is in a decent area of town and close to the freeway. I will be back in June!

“Econo Lodge in Escondido, CA”

Our hotel room was so clean!! I couldn't have done a better job myself. The furniture in room was old...but the bed felt great. It had a full sized refrigerator and a small stove, which I wasn't expecting. I would stay here again just because of how clean the room was. The gentleman at the front desk was very friendly and helpful with directions.

“Very nice place!”

My wife and I were hesitant on staying at an Econo Lodge, but due to budget issues we booked. To my surprise this place was fantastic! My kids enjoyed the pool, and the location was perfect. Once we got there we were greeted by a very friendly staff they were extremly helpful, they got us directions to where we needed to go and they made some wonderful recommendations as well. The best part for my wife and I was that it was a clean place it was nothing fancy but you have all the basics there, the restaurants next door were also a plus, once we got there we never had to get into our car places to eat were just walking distance. All in all we had a wonderful stay would recommend this place to anyone, and we would def come here again! my kids want to go back just for the fresh donuts in the morning.

“Good Price, Excellant Location”

We stayed at the hotel because of the price and location. Check-in was quick and pleasant and the clerks were very accomodating.

“cheap and cheerful”

Affordable hotel near Wild Animal Park. I liked that they just had cable TV instead of one of those pay-per-view menu things that hotels use. Room had a full-sized refrigerator instead of just an ice bucket.

“Hotels are like a box of chocolates... and we got a good one.”

We weren't sure what we would get when I booked a room here, but we thankfully found the staff was very friendly,and helpful. We are a family of 4 so I felt the room was a little bit small but still adequately comfortable and very clean. We had some privacy issues when it came to showering and dressing but we were able to manage. This is a quiet little retreat with convenient parking, a great restaurant next door,the beaches and other attractions were easily accessible by freeways, and there was little traffic congestion either way we came. I would stay here again. A great value for the money we paid.

“Simple yet comfortable”

The hotel itself is older but it is a great place for the the price and for a night stay. It is simple and clean. I would recommend this to anyone who does not need fancy hotels and amenities.

“Escondido Econo Lodge”

The front desk clerk here was AWSOME!!! She was so nice and always there. The room was fairly clean but it needed a carpet cleaning badly. The maid service was great and efficent. There was a cafe on one side and a Mexican place on the other. It was fairly easy to get to off of Centre City Pkwy.

“Clean & Cheap”

We stayed in the room right across from the pool which is a small pool and hot tub but they are very clean and sufficient. The beds are kinda hard, the air conditioner works well but is loud, and the tub needed some minor fixes. Beyond those issues it was clean and was a great place to stay. If you're looking for a place to sleep and jump in the pool/hot tub for cheap this is it.
