This is a beautiful hotel for couples. I stayed for 4 nights. My key did not work in the third night, but personnel was very helpful and attentive when I asked for help and solved it fast. The restaurant is very expensive, but offers delicious food. The breakfast is good, done with with the healthy and natural in mind. Natural orange juice, homemade granola (delicious!), fruits, yogurt, etc. Although, it was pretty much the same every day. The air conditioner did not cool very well, although, I would stay here again.

Very friendly manager. Nice swimming pool that we often had to ourselves. There is a non-touristy convenience store around the corner. The Malecon is a couple minutes away on foot, with several cool restaurants. We booked a tour of the Bio-luminescent Bay at Abe's, and they will pick you up at their storefront the night of your tour.
The window AC unit struggled to keep up, even while sustained at its highest setting, but the two ceiling fans helped to mitigate. No TV in room. Wifi did not work in the room - we had to move outdoors into a 'public area' nearer the building office to catch the signal.
Lots of interesting animals abound. There are small lizards all over (outside), maybe 4" long. Feral horses once you get away from the busy streets. A giant iguana scrambled into the pool once. There are roosters, as mentioned in other reviews. They're definitely noisy but it's not that disruptive with the windows shut and AC on.
Overall a cool place to stay.

This adorable hostel was the perfect place to be for my night in Vieques for the Bio-Bay. It was super clean despite many people living/staying there and all the people there were very nice and friendly. It is a hostel, so there are shared facilities and some shared rooms, but my boyfriend and I were able to have our own queen bed in our own room which was perfect. The bed wasn't super comfortable but it wasn't bad. I was impressed with how clean it was! The surrounding area was perfect for a short get-away as well. There is a beach-walk out front which goes for about a half-mile, with a nice beach at the end. The hostel is also attached to Lazy Jacks which is a bar/restaurant which had pretty good food and fun drinks. It as a pretty popular place as well.
All in all, if you're looking for an affordable, simple, nice place to stay, I highly suggest this place!

Our stay here was very enjoyable. The staff was exceptionally nice and friendly. The hotel and its surroundings were impeccably clean, and, the outdoor guest areas (the rooftop deck and the outdoor bar area) were suitably furnished - there was even a book exchange of which we took advantage since we were able to read a lot at the beaches. An additional guest amenity: towels, cooler, and chairs were supplied for use at the beach. Also, as an animal lover, I was pleased to see how well the resident cat (Clara) was treated.
I would recommend the Villa Coral to friends.
