“Fantastic holiday”

A fantastic hotel - we had an above average ground floor room with a large patio looking out on to the pool and gardens, which was still secluded due to the greenery. Usual table and chairs, but also on one side cushioned seating area. At 6.30pm on the dot the local birds would come to roost in the trees which was quite an amazing site. One of the most comfortable beds I have slept in and a surprisingly large amount of wardrobe space. We were half-board which meant we unbelievably had dinner at one of the hotels high-quality restuarants each night and just had to pay for drinks.

Charming, laid back beach resort, ideal for a few days of rest and relaxation. Wonderful service by hotel staff - genuinely wanted guests to have a first class experience.

The hotel was really nice - definitely looked like the nicest one in town. Only about a 3 minute walk to the medina. Right on the beach with a great pool, work out room and big rooms.

We recently came back from the Sofitel in Essaoira and I would definitely recommend it. Great pool, lovely rooms, good buffet breakfast. It has a great location also,being right on the beach front.The service was good,polite and efficient but I would recommend anyone going to Morocco to brush up on their French as not everyone spoke English (and why should they?).

A lovely hotel with great facilities, including a private area of the beach. The staff were very friendly and professional. The breakfast and restaurants were also very good.

I have been regular visitor to Sofitel Essaouria for five years. Love it. The hotel is charming, the location is perfect and the quality of guest care is outstanding. The restaurants are great. By all means, try the ocean cafe! They serve a fantastic breakfast which is a great way to ease into the day. This is a relaxing place that does everything it can to create a calm, serene and gorgeous atmosphere. Essaouira itself is a very special place, and fortunately Sofitel lives up to it!

Such a fantastic hotel. Real attention to detail. Only downer was the food was too expensive however, its best to eat in town anyway. Best to go slightly off peak as there aren't loads of sunbeds

The hotel is beautiful - our rooms were large and the bed was unbelievably comfortable! The staff were very helpful, and accommodating... It was also extremely good value for money through Expedia - would definitely recommend!!

“Perfect mix of France and Africa”

Lovey hotel with attentive and friendly staff. Good choice of restaurants - tho relatively expensive compared with other local ones. Its a drought-ridden country so we couldn't complain about the less than 5* shower etc and the room was smallish but very comfortable with a great balcony. Breakfast buffet excellent and the Cote de la Plage served fantastic seafood right next to the private beach, which is worth going to even if you do get a bit windswept later in the day. Location 5mins from medina etc. Didn't try the spa. Overall fab holiday and we would go back.
