Pretty goodPosted Jan 1, 2013
Pros: Staff, great amenities in rooms
Cons: Bathroom, although lovely, is part of the room
Lovely staff (and owner) who were extremely helpful, superb breakfast, good location. The only thing I would warn visitors about is the bathroom; there is no door and I quite like to go to the toiliet in privacy :)

Pros: Attentive staff
Location: So easy to find! 2 minute walk from the supratours bus station. Don't get fooled into taking a cab!
this riad was an oasis of calm after a boisterous two-week tour of northern morocco. We got here fatigued and frazzled after touring the big medinas of marrakech and fez. who knew that behind the scruffy walls of essaouira medina could exist such charm and warmth. this was the end of our honeymoon trip to morocco, and it couldn't have ended on a higher note. Other beach hotels in essaouira seemed a bit run down, and we are so glad we stayed in the medina. the service was exceptional, and the staff made us feel at home. The room was huge, immaculate and architecturally and historically charming. Thank you for an amazing stay. If you are heading to morocco, go to the coast and book this riad now!

Riad Chbanate - great place to stayPosted May 21, 2012
Pros: The friendly staff, lovely building and generally relaxed atmosphere that meant you felt very comfortable staying in
Cons: On the roof terrace (which is lovely and has a jacuzzi) there is only one shaded area - if someone gets there first it can be very hot up there!
Location: Essaouira is pretty small but a maze of small streets and alleys - the hotel is just inside the old city walls making it easier to find your way back!
Lovely hotel, well run and with very friendly staff. They really made our stay very comfortable and were very helpful with recommendations for restaurants and activities. The rooms are a good size and they top up the cosmetics daily. The room fridge offers complimentary soft drinks and water.

Luxurious riad just inside city wallsPosted May 1, 2012 on Hotels.com
We stayed in the Hayate Suite which is a stunning room with an incredible bath. We enjoyed a fire in the evenings (even in April) due to the cool winds coming off the Atlantic. The internet reception was very good in this room which is located on the first floor above the front desk area. The breakfast was the best we had in Morocco and included such extras as fresh fruit, chocolate spread and several jams. Certainly the staff is top notch and everyone very friendly and helpful. The location in the medina makes it easy to get around for shopping and dining.

Incredible riad. Most relaxing time that we spent in Morocco. Actually, most relaxing time I've had since honeymooning in Hawai'i.

オーナーのジョンさんが常に気を使って話をしてくれた。 そういったホスピタリティ精神がリヤドにもスタッフにも行き届いていました。 文句なしの一番人気のリヤドです。

An absolute gemPosted Oct 19, 2011
We absolutely loved this hotel. We booked it after seeing the pics of the amazing bathrooms and we were not disappointed. The staff are really friendly, the breakfast and dinner we had there were very tasty and I would go back to stay there if I returned to Essouiara.
