“Campanile Hotels an excellent, friendly place”

The stay was excellent. The only problem the noise from the extractor fan at night.

“Very good value”

Stayed here over Christmas break. The hotel staff were all very pleasant, helpful and above all...they smiled! This particular Camponile is of the former Motel type, the rooms being in a two storey balcony type of building apart from the main reception and restaurant. Rooms are not large but excellent for one or two night stays, longer for a single person. Invited family for a meal which was very good quality and value.

“Good, clean, friendly but basic”

There are few hotels in this area and this is the best of the lot. The reception are efficient and friendly, the rooms are comfortable and although basic the bed is comfortable and there is an ironing board and tea making facilities. Didn't have breakfast but the food is good value as is the grill opposite. Not the most scenic of areas being next to the A127 but it is next to a shopping area with a Sainsbury if you need any late night shopping.

“Nice restaurant and bar”

My brother arrived late and the restaurant had kept his meal for him on a hotplate as orders finished at 9.30pm. Good service.

“Don't judge a book by its cover”

This hotel looks a little run down from the outside, but the rooms were quite modern, very clean and comfortable. Reception staff were very friendly and efficient. We checked in at 2.00pm and had no problems. Didn't eat at the restaurant but it looked OK. There are plenty of eateries nearby including an Asda store if you want a Full English rather than continental breakfast

“Comfortable and clean”

We have had some dreadful experiences at some of the cheaper hotel chains, so we weren't expecting much from the Campanile, but we were pleasantly surprised. The American motel-style rooms were clean, well-maintained and comfortable. The hotel is great value, the staff were friendly and helpful, everything in our room looked new, it all worked properly, and the bed was comfortable, which is all you can ask when the prices are as low as that!

“Fine for the money”

To be honest, the hotel was great value for money. You get what you pay for.
