“In need of an update, but pretty good.”
I stay fairly regularly at the Churchgate as it is convenient for my office.
On a positive note:-
The customer service at reception has always been excellent.
The food I have had here is great, both the a la carte restaurant and the buffet breakfast, and the rooms are of a decent size with good showers and comfortable beds.
On the downside, the wifi didn't work when I stayed there, and as a quite rural location my laptop's dongle and 3G services were intermittent - not a fault of the hotel but worth considering.
There's no hot food available after 9pm too, which can be a little irritating.
There also appears to be no lifts?
Overall the hotel could do with a refurb, however they have recently changed the carpets and slightly updated the reception and bar areas, but it still looks quite old fashioned.
