“Good Stopover Point for Early Flights”

Very convenient stop over hotel for early morning flights this next day. Friendly staff to greet weary travellers at midnight. Food and beverages available at late hours. Located in quiet country side in small village. Shuttle service at dawn to nearby Stansted airport.

One of the best places I have stayed in. The restaurant is superb. It is quiet and peaceful, yet only five minutes from the airport.

Very good place to stay and a good value for the money. Close to running trails if you can find them, they are fun.

“cheap and cheerful”

I found the De Salis excellent for the price. I was collected from the Airport within 10 minutes of calling by a cheerful Polish driver. My room was large and clean with tea/coffee facilities and a large bath and shower, clean with hot water. All the staff I met were courteous and helpful and my lift back to Stansted in the morning was prompt. I didn't use the restaurant.

“DeSalis Hotel for Overnight Stay before Flight”

I booked this hotel for a quick overnight stay before an early morning flight out of Stansted. The hotel provides a shuttle direct to Stansted at a fee of £3.50 per person per ride. The shuttle service was very good even at 4 AM for the first flight of the day, the driver was very punctual. The hotel was clean and well kept. A good nights sleep and overall good experience.

“Very good budget hotel”

What a refreshing change to those monotonous national chain motels. This hotel is an ideal jumping off point for Stansted, which is why I was there... Excellent VFM. The restaurant is South Asian - not my ideal choice, but that is not why I was there. Also offers Airport transfers and long term car parking.

“Convenient Location, Expensive but Convenient Shuttle Service”

Located close to the airport, it only takes 10 minutes to travel from the hotel to the airport. The rooms are clean and are of a good size. Our one complaint was that the price for the transfer to and from the airport wasn't advertised. It costs £3.50 per person per trip for each transfer. Having said that, the transfer service was convenient with transfers available 24 hours a day.

“OK if you want nothing special”

Arrived at the hotel, the free car parking advertise was only for the one night and not the length of our stay which was neveer explain to us, the hotel was clean and light. The room was comfortable but the bathroom lacked a decent shower. The one thing i can say about the hotel is that it can not be faulted on food, it was excellent and at a very good price. The main let down was that we arrive 20 mins early on our flight rang the hotel to get a taxi to come pick us up, it 2.5K from the airport!!! 50 minutes and 5 phone calls later we are still waiting at the airport. The driver arrives an hour late and informs us he had only been told 10 minutes ago to come pick us up, not a happy bunny...all in all good food but wouldn't stay there again!!!!
