“this place is gross”
don't stay here unless its the only hotel left for a game weekend... hasn't been updated since 1988... smells bad, etc/
“Don't Stay There”
Can't imagine why AAA approved this or why Expedia is involved. This is a fire trap waiting for disaster. I'm sure it would not pass a fire inspection just based upon electric hookup. The Continental Breakfast is a first class joke. Motel 6six is by far a better SAFE bet.
“Does not look like pictures at all”
My boyfriend and I were in town for the Ducks game. We booked at this place based on the pictures and reviews. We had a late check in (around 11 pm) so I don't know if that made a difference but OUR ROOM DOES NOT LOOK ANYTHING LIKE THE PICTURES SHOWN. Our room was very dingy, and we found hair on the sheets when we first arrived. We asked them to change it which they did promptly. Thankfully we brought our own pillows and comforter. We were scared to walk barefoot, the carpet does not look clean. The tub was questionable so we skipped it and the toilet seat was all worn out. At first I thought it was mold. That's how bad it was. They couldn't even replace a $15 toilet seat? The mattress was extremely hard, we were sore the next day. I can't tell you about the comforter or pillows because we did not use them. The Heat/AC worked fine. The room was stuffy, uncomfortable and did not seem clean. Like I said, it is the complete opposite of the rooms shown on the pictures. We were pretty tired when we got there so we did not really remember what the rooms are supposed to look like, otherwise I would have complained and left. Maybe they photoshopped the pictures, I'm not sure but safe to say, we will not be back.
“dingy, dirty, dangerous”
the room looked nothing like the pictures. The sink in the room had whisker hair in it as if someone had just shaved. The chair in the room as well as the carpet was full of stains. The window unit in the room had no front to it, just a big black hole. i never even took my shoes off for the short time i was there. Just awful and not worth ANY money.
“Worst motel ever”
This is by far the worst motel I have ever stayed. Rooms were too congested. The bed was broken. They said they serve free breakfast, but the breakfast was just a farse - there was just bread, butter and jam for breakfast. There was just 1 table in the breakfast room, so even 4 of us were not able to sit properly. There was no water either. Worst experience!!!
“Good deal”
Stayed there 2 nights. The hotel outside looked a little bit run down. The staff was friendly and efficient. Our room: It wasn't modern but renovated, it was clean, no bed bugs. The breakfast was a little bit disappoining but it didn't suprised me at this kind of hotel. The neighborhood was ok. On Blair Street you could find some good pubs and restaurantes. All in all, it is not fancy but definitiv ok for the price.
“Pictures are deceiving of this place.”
It's tiny & kind of "Eeeww" like you don't want to sit on anything that isn't washable (like the sheets which also had a stain on them). I spilled water on the floor & when I wiped it up the washclothe had black on it. Somebody needs to mop the tile. My cousin who grew up in the area said they used to call this place the "no tell motel". It really is an old place that they cleaned out, slapped some paint on it, & stuck newer furniture in.
“not a great first impression”
when i pulled in to the hotel i had a feeling of dread, the buildings were old but looked maintained. the front desk clerk was nice and directed me to where the laundry room and my room was. when i opened my door i was greatly impressed with how clean it was. the building was old but well taken care of. the bed was comfortable and had refridgerator and microwave and plenty of towels. the contenental breakfast was minimal but the coffee was good. overall i was pleased and would return
“Not Impressed”
Room was to small
“New Found Gem”
I came to Eugene to visit my family and really enjoyed my 10 day stay at this motel. I found the staff to be extremely friendly and very responsive to any needs or concerns that I had. The entire place is well maintained and the room was very clean and comfortable. The room was always cleaned early in the afternoon and everyone was very friendly. I found the morning continental breakfast to be outstanding - the coffee was good and the smell of baking waffles was a nice greeting in the morning. My room had a microwave, a small refrigerator, iron and ironing board, nice TV and a VERY comfortable bed. There is an on-site laundry and a business center which are great features. I am a big-time walker and found the distance to downtown to be just fine. The hotel is a in a diverse neighborhood with many interesting locals about, but I never felt uncomfortable in any way. There are many great places to eat within walking distance and vegetarian food is always easy to find in that neighborhood as well as all of Eugene. Again, I really enjoyed my stay and will not hesitate to recommend this motel. In fact, I can't wait to return next year!
