“Great Deal”

Great place to stay for a great price. It's got 2 driveways that are convienent to head either direction on the one ways streets, close to fast food, shopping and was about 4 minutes driving from the Conference center. The staff left me to my privacy and were very friendly. I would definitely go there again!!!

“This hotel beat my expectations”

I went to Eugene for a weekend conference. I knew I would be spending nearly all of my time at the conference center, so I just wanted an extremely affordable place to sleep each night. I searched Expedia using the "nearest to a street address" function, sorted them by price low-to-high and picked the cheapest one without another thought. I had very low expectations. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the amenities at the hotel. My room had a small fridge, a microwave, cable tv, a stove top and oven (I didn't use it, but it would have been nice to have the option of baking a frozen pizza.) My pillows, mattress, and bedding were fine. The water got hot fast, the pressure was great, and the heater warmed up the room quickly. The hotel also provides free wi-fi and a continental breakfast. The parking lot is well lit, and I was able to park right in front of my room door each night. The parking lot also extends from west 6th ave to west 7th ave, so you can come in one direction and go out the other without having to do that annoying one-way-street around-the-block backtracking trick that is required at some other places in this area. The hotel is just blocks from the conference/Hult center and there is a great antique store just a couple blocks east of the hotel in a former Hollywood video building. The hotel owner/staff were polite and helpful!

“Not impressed”

Outside structure and landscaping were pleasing and appeared to be well kept. Parking was a bit of an issue. Waiting for a staff member to help me at the front desk was a bit frustrating. I waited aprox. 15 minutes before someone arrived to help me. Hotel room was clean and tidy.

“Nice decent cheap motel”

Nice cheap motel. Clean rooms. Did have a strong disinfected smell upon checkin but not horrible. Stayed for the Eugene marathon worth the money :)

“Good deal”

Stayed there 2 nights. The hotel outside looked a little bit run down. The staff was friendly and efficient. Our room: It wasn't modern but renovated, it was clean, no bed bugs. The breakfast was a little bit disappoining but it didn't suprised me at this kind of hotel. The neighborhood was ok. On Blair Street you could find some good pubs and restaurantes. All in all, it is not fancy but definitiv ok for the price.

“Okay for the Price”

For the part of town it was in, I would consider it one of the better motels. As a quick stop for a night, it was clean and adequate. The taxi driver said it was okay but both motels on either side were not good in his opinion. He did say this one had been going through improvements.

“Worth it if on a tight budget...”

The room itself was very comfortable and clean, and the inn is close enough to downtown and conveniences. There were some sketchy looking people hanging around, but they weren't threatening. If you can afford something nicer, go for it, but if you're on a tight budget, not staying too long or want to save some money for other stuff during your stay, this hotel is a good choice.

“Not too shabby”

This place is pretty good for all the stuff you get, but keep in mind that not all rooms come with the kitchenette when reading through these reviews. Our room had a huge vanity instead. The bathroom is tiny, and the showerhead was not secure to the wall, so adjusting required holding and moving -and it's very tall, which is great for tall folk, but even harder for us shorties to adjust the direction of the head. Many cable channels to pick from if you find yourself bored in the middle of the night, though I had another guest making his unhappiness very clear through the thin walls of the room while trying to enjoy late night comedies. The curtains open to the parking lot, which is awkward and not pretty, but since the room would get stuffy we had to get the air circulating better. Yay for the DSL internet though. And unlike other reviewers, I didn't think the area seemed "shady," it is downtown. Outlets were a little hard to come by, and the one under the vanity was all we could use really, except for using one behind the bed for the laptop.

“Old hotel, but nice people and comfortable”

The hotel is old, but the owners were very nice. The room was comfortable. Nice and cheap, leaving extra money to spend elsewhere.
