nice hotel in eugene

Posted Nov 23, 2014
Pros: location
Cons: breakfast options
Location: close to U of Oregon and close to parks and bike and walking paths
we stayed there overnight and overall the experience was fine. The beds were comfortable and the staff was wonderful. Only negative was the breakfast. The choice of food was small , okay, but not great. The pancake machine made sort of rubbery pancake. Overall it's a good hotel in a great location.

Disappointing Stay

Posted Nov 10, 2014
Pros: Although the indoor swimmng pool was not up to par, I did like the fact that it was open until midnight.
Cons: Cleanliness of the pool & spa could be improved. The food at the continential breakfast needs some help & please get some new pillows!
Location: Location of motel is directly across the street from public transportation. The swimming pool & spa are in a separte building from the motel rooms.
Usually I don't mind staying at a Best Western, however I don't think I would stay at this particular motel again. The indoor swimming pool was cold and the hot tub was VERY dirty! The continential breakfast leaves a lot to be desired, very disappointing! The bed was not the most comfortable and the pillows were absolutely terrible! Well, I guess you get what you pay for.

Good Value - no frills.

Posted Sep 29, 2014
Pros: The rooms were very clean and the rate was reasonable.
Cons: Lighting and d├ęcor. The outside is structurally dated - reminds me of the Bates Motel - but nicer.
Location: We were there for one night... there was a bar nearby which was dead on a Saturday night - kind of sad really.
Lots could be improved: The remote for the TV didn't work very well and I had to get up in the middle of the night to shut off the TV. Lighting in the room was really quite poor, and it was hard to see even in broad daylight. The bathroom light fixture did not work and it took too flushes to evacuate the toilet. Bedding was extremely minimal - and I don't know in what universe that it's okay to use curtain panels as bedding accents - Maybe Martha Stewart thought it was a good thing in the 90's but it's kind of tacky if you ask me.

Convenient to Oregon University

Posted Sep 22, 2014
Pros: Convenient and good breakfast
Cons: A little more attention in reception
Location: We visited Hayward Field as my husband is very keen on athletics!
The hotel was very convenient to the university, breakfast was good but I did find the first receptionist a little offhand. The second one was very cheery!

Over crowed pool and breakfast area . Could her the traffic that was right next to our room. The toilet kept running after every flush until I fixed it everytime someone used it.

Nice motel easy on/off to I-5

Posted Aug 6, 2014
Returning to Vancouver from Reno, hit with 2 large detours due to forest fires. Phoned hotel to confirm later arrival with no problem. Nice area of town. Short distance to array of restaurants. Trying to beat rush hours in Portland & Seattle, so it was mostly a check-in, eat, sleep & go stay. Lots that I didn't take advantage of. There's 2 Best Westerns only 3 lots apart on Franklin St. You pass the first one to get to this motel. Of course I dropped into the 1st one after a long day of driving & was surprised that they didn't have a reservation for me. Strange town ... looking for 'Best Western' ... who knew??? Room rate cheaper than confirmed & comparitively speaking, an excellent value. Hope to make same trip (Hot August Nights in Reno) in the future & will definetly stay here again.

Great spot across the street of UofO

Posted Aug 6, 2014
Location: Walk right across the street to University of Oregon! Great location.
Motel was very clean and well air conditioned! Free breakfast was decent, but nothing tremendous. The best amenity is the pool! Clean and refreshing, and heated perfectly! After a long drive to Eugene from San Jose, CA, my family really enjoyed our dip in the pool!
