Pros: location
Cons: Bathroom and closet area too small. Rate paid was much higher than other stays at Best Westerns.
Location: Good location for U of O
Breakfast area was much too small for the number of people trying to get food. So people dished food on their plates and took it with them back to their rooms and were not returning their plates. Because of that the dining area ran short on plates which meant others didn't have plates to eat with. If the dining area cannot be expanded I suggest providing sturdy paper plates that guests can use to take back to their rooms. Providing paper plates would mean there could be a larger supply available avoiding running out.

New decor and worn out mattresses

Posted Jul 22, 2014
Pros: Clean rooms Friendly staff Nice decor Indoor/Outdoor pool Decent free breakfast
Cons: Free breakfast served in a room with 9, 4-seat tables (with over 100 rooms in the hotel) means no place to sit Mattresses are starting to wear out
Location: Across the street from U of O Close to downtown Easy access to mass transit (EmEx stops right out front)
Cons: Free breakfast served in a room with 9, 4-seat tables (with over 100 rooms in the hotel) Mattresses are starting to wear out Pillows are too springy to rest comfortably Overall, I'd stay again if I needed a place. It's way better than some spots in town, but it won't be my first choice. The first room I was assigned on check-in had a bed that was hard as a rock for about 12 inches from one side. The rest of the mattress was extremely soft and squishy. The result was that whoever laid on the hard side rolled down to the soft side. It was like trying to cram two adults in to a twin-sized bed sideways on a hill. If you get put in room 162, check the bed before you settle in. The staff were happy to change rooms, but I didn't get the impression they would even make a note of the issue. The new room had a more consistent mattress. It was kind of spongy soft, which wasn't to my liking, and seemed to sag in the middle. There are exactly 36 seats in the breakfast room and more than 100 rooms in the hotel. You can imagine how crowded it gets at breakfast time. I ended up taking my food across the parking lot to eat in the office lobby because it was easier than trying to get back to my room. It didn't help that there wasn't enough silverware. I had to eat pancakes with a plastic spoon. Generally speaking, it's a fairly nice hotel. I wouldn't recommend it, but I wouldn't tell anyone to avoid it either.

Was told I should not have used expedia when there was a price difference. Lady at desk was unprofessional. Manager was kind and helpful. Room was ok and clean but would not go back due to the staff.

Nice and Easy

Posted Jul 4, 2014
Cons: The continental breakfast left something to be desired, only in that it was so typical, and we don't tend to eat white bread and canned fruit juice.
Location: Everything U of O, many restaurants and a really nice park too. There's a bus stop right in front of the hotel and Eugene's buses are great.
Great check-in, very clean and comfortable room, wonderful pool - seriously, I'd come back just for the pool. We chose the hotel for its proximity to the University - right across the street from the Jaqua academic center - and it was so convenient to lots of restaurants and a good grocery store within walking distance.

Pets!

I think it was overall an 'average' hotel. However, they did allow pets which was a plus and it was close to campus and other activites in Eugene without being overly expensive

Great Location for access to Hayward Field

Pros: Great Location. Walk to anything the U of O offers.
Was disappointed that for 115 a night the air conditioner would not work and neither did the shower head. Hotel did make it right by discounting rate however.

Comfortable hotel with nutty staff

Posted Apr 18, 2014
Pros: The breakfast was great. The rooms were spacious, even their "smaller" double rooms. The exercise room is fabulous. The pool is warm.
We arrived late. They had held the last room for us. Though we signed a waver saying we were not going to smoke in the room we checked in to a room that greeted you with heavy smoke smell and two ashtrays. We checked back out for the first night. The next day we arrive to secure a good smoke free room. We are given the non-smoking room directly above our previous room. That room had a funky smell; half way between the smoke permeating through the floor and a musty dankness. We asked for another room. We got 118. Which was perfect. About an hour later someone tried to open the door. We greeted a flustered-looking guest who had been told their room was 118. They went back to the office and were given 119. On the 4 day of staying there, our cardkeys stopped working and we had to go get them re-coded. All in all. Our room was great. The breakfast was great. The pool is warm and of good size and depth. The exercize room is amazing for a small hotel. The maids were on top of our tissue needs during allergy season. Though the front desk staff was flakey.

Small room, pool out of service :(

Posted Feb 18, 2014
When I booked the room, a heated in door pool was a big part of the reason why. Well when we arrived, the pool was out of service. I checked my family in anyway. When we walked into the 2 queens sized room, it was very cramped almost no room to walk between the end of the bed and the entertainment center. A bit disappointed :-/. Although the gentlemen at the front desk were very understanding and helpful when helping us find another hotel with an indoor heated pool just down the street.
