Hotel was an wonderful experience and everything I've come to love about an extraordinary place. Room was later than expected which i was pleased with but the shower was a little outdated. Not complaining though since I'm just worried about if it works or not. Would definitely stay again.

Thank you for your encouraging comments. This is an older hotel, that's true. However, it has been well-maintained over the years and everything is in good working order. We look forward to seeing you again on your next trip to Eugene!

Clean

We have stayed here before. This time we were in the old section which needs updating. Ask for an updated room. It has a party vibe durning home U of Oregon football games. The staff will quiet them down if you complain.

Yes, things do get a bit "upbeat" around here during college football season. It's like that all over town. U of O students and alumni are very enthusiastic about their Ducks! That being said, you are correct, not every guest is here for a game and we will ask revelers to tone it down if they are getting a little too boisterous. Most of the time, this is a very quiet hotel despite our downtown location. Thanks for posting your comments.

Just made a quick stop here on the way to Washington for the holidays. They have a cheap pet rent which is awesome and completely unique. Anything you could ask for from a hotel. My first stay my room had a fridge but no microwave, my second stay I had both. So if that's important to you, you might want to request it.

Yes, all of our rooms have little fridges and most also have microwave ovens. You are correct in that it is our pleasure to put you in a room with a microwave if you so desire. Of course, we also have one in the Lobby that you are welcome to use should your room not come equipped with a microwave. And you are also correct that we are pet-friendly. We are happy to accommodate your four-legged friend for a small additional fee. After all, dogs are people too!

the room was not that clean, toilet didn't work, and it smelled like smoke even though it was a non-smoking environment.

Not Worth the $$$ Even for a Duck Game

Posted Sep 15, 2014 on Hotels.com
Booking a hotel room when you're going to a Duck game is insane, but we wanted to be close to campus and Autzen. Total with fees for our room was far too much even to be that close to the game. The walls were paper thin and we could hear absolutely everything our neighbors were talking about or watching on TV. There were red stains on the bathroom mirror and my sister said there was hair on the side of the shower when she got in. The bed was largely indented. I feel like for the room we got, even considering location, should have been half the price or less. Next time will stay farther away to have a better hotel.

I agree that it does get a little crazy in Eugene whenever there's a game. Prices, with demand, go up all over town. I am sorry you did not have a pleasant stay with us, but thank you for sharing your comments. It does help us to improve our service.

Very accomadating staff

Cons: Keep the hot tub open 24hrs for adults. There is no reason not to since it is covered by a security camera.
The hotel manual said the hot tub was open 24hrs but I tried to use it after 10pm and found it locked with a cable. I called the desk clerk and she opened it for me even though there was a sign on the hot tub fence that said it is open from 6:00am to 10:00pm. In he future, I would consider another hotel if the hot tub is going to be closed by 10:00.

If no one is using the hot tub, we do cover it and lock it at 10 pm. This is partly for maintenance and partly for safety. Yet, as you discovered, if a guest wishes to use the hot tub late in the evening, we are happy to make it available to them. We appreciate you posting your comments. It is very helpful to know how we may provide the best service to our guests.

Eugene Overnight Trip

This was an excellent value hotel, and I would certainly stay there again. Staff was friendly and receptive, good Wifi coverage, comfortable room, and close to everything in Eugene.

Thank you Bob for taking the time to write a review. You are correct: we are in a great location! Walkable to both shops and restaurants downtown, as well as, event venues for the University of Oregon. Hope to see you again your next trip to Eugene.

Hi Shane! Thanks for your comments. Unfortunately, all the prices go up during the games, but our rates are still a long way from "absolutely ridiculous"! We are close to both the U of O and downtown, which does make us very convenient. Hopefully, we'll see you next game.

Nice inn close to downtown eateries and pubs.

Posted Aug 26, 2014
Pros: Close to everything.
Location: Sizzle Pizza, Voodoo Donuts, many great pubs.
We like this inn because it is centrally located - walking distance to downtown and easy driving distance to everywhere else. Feels safe to walk from here to the downtown area at night.

One of the great things about Eugene is how safe it is walking around any time of the day or night. In one direction, we are about 4 blocks away from some great shops and restaurants downtown. And in the other direction, we are about the same distance from the University of Oregon and all it has to offer! Thank you for taking the time to share your experiences with us. We look forward to seeing you the next time you are in town.
