Close to down town. Convenient, quiet and clean.

Close to down town. Convenient, quiet and clean. 5 mins away from Off The Waffle, best waffles ever! Quick drive to shops off Broadway. Comfy beds and pillows. AC and heater. Nice friendly staff. Fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Best deal on Expedia. Good stay for the price. The area reminded me of home in Long Beach, ca. Would recommend to a friend or family to stay here.

Great location and inexpensive

Posted Mar 28, 2015
Good price for a decent hotel. Nice staff. Rooms are a bit small and cramped. The bed was one of the worst I've slept on in a long time. Saggy mattress that resulted in back pain. Exterior and lobby very clean and well kept.

Noisy. Small outdated rooms. You get what you pay for.

Great place for the money.

The staff is very accommodating. It's nice to have a simple breakfast in the lobby. We used the hot tub both days if iur stay. They are located near several restaurants within walking distance.

Yes, it is nice soaking in that hot tub on a clear night when you can see all the stars in the sky. I'm happy to hear you took advantage of that, as well as our convenient location to downtown Eugene. Thanks for posting your comments. Have a great day!

Street Noise, Space Toilets and an Irish Jig

Posted Mar 11, 2015
Pros: The two times I interacted with the staff were pleasant, if only because they seemed to understand my plight. The breakfast was actually pretty good.
Cons: Minor Improvements: Door frame sound proofing, heating/cooling system, toilet flush velocity Major Improvements: Quality of the entire building
Location: If you don't know the answer to this question you're probably staying here for the wrong, or, at least very questionable, reasons.
I was in town for a graduate school interview. This was the cheapest room I could find that was still relatively close to the UO campus without being right on it and much more expensive. This place is right on one of the main roads in town and sees heavy traffic throughout most of the day. When I arrived, the front desk man seemed surprised I was there, I should have heeded look as a sign. My room was not sound proofed very well, so any time a train, truck, emergency vehicle, loud hobo, UO bro or drunk chick went by, it felt like I was right there with them. The only way to mitigate the noise was to turn on the wall mounted ac/heat unit, but, without any temperature detection/timer/remote, you were either too hot or too cold very quickly. The hotel also possessed these weird Space toilets that were so loud that every time you (or anyone else adjacent to you for that matter) flushed, it felt like you were flushing with the power of Poseidon. The contents were gone so quickly and with such force that you weren't entirely sure you'd gone to the bathroom in the first place. I probably could have slept through at least 50% of these distractions if it weren't for a noisy fellow hotel guest above me deciding to do the Irish jig at 3 in the morning. This place is a great example of how you get what you pay for. It's a shame too, because with some minor sound proofing around the door frame and a slightly better heating/cooling system, my experience could have been very different.

Theo this is definitely one of the most entertaining reviews I have ever read. Unfortunately, since it is rather negative, I suppose I shouldn't be so amused by it. I apologize that you did not have a better experience during your stay with us. Yes, we are an inexpensive hotel. However, we do try to offer our guests a clean, comfortable (and hopefully, quiet) place to stay while they are visiting Eugene. Thank you for posting your comments. Feedback from our guests is always helpful. Have a nice day!

Close to U of O and downtown

In Eugene for a university event and the hotel was very well located for a very reasonable price. Easy to park the car and walk without having to worry about parking

Timbers motel

Pros: Location was the key.
Cons: Not letting argument type 8 people stay here.
Location: Library downtown area.
The only bad thing was, the next door neighbors was arguing and shouting. Could hear it through the walls.

Great downtown hotel.

Posted Feb 24, 2015
Pros: The downtown location.
Cons: Not the hotel's fault, but there is a busy city street here. Not necessarily noisy, but you will hear car traffic. No biggie as you ARE downtown.
We stayed here for our last night in Oregon where our daughter was visiting and staying with a friend at University of Oregon while we spent the prior couple nights on the Oregon Coast--spectacular weather! We wanted a place close to campus as we wanted to get with the girls for dinner the night before we all left Eugene the next day. The fact that the hotel was pet-friendly was a big bonus for us. The room was decent size, liked the furnishings of this older, but well kept hotel. The breakfast was nice. We would definitely stay here again, and the price was great too!

I'm sorry if you were disturbed by noise during your stay. We've had a lot of events going on in Eugene lately. However, we will ask guests to respect their neighbors if they are getting too loud. Thank you, Karen, for sharing your comments.
