Nice location if traveling to Eugene

Posted Jul 11, 2015
I stayed at this hotel while attending a week long conference held at the University of Oregon. The location to good restaurants is a big plus for staying here - there are a number of nice places within walking distance. I found the hotel to be a little old and in need of some renovations - but the staff were very friendly and helpful on a number of occasions. The hotel is about a 20 minute walk to campus and close to public transportation. A good bargain in a nice location.

Understaffed.

Posted Jun 17, 2015
We stayed at the Hilton during the University of Oregon's graduation. You would think that the hotel would have staffed properly to accommodate the increase in guests but they did not. They were understaffed especially when it came to the valet and the front desk. Staff members were also rude.

The sorority girl puking at 3 am was not very pleasing. Nor was the other sorority girl peeing on the steps in the middle of the night.

Hotel close to the train tracks.

Posted May 17, 2015
Pros: They compensate us with a free breakfast which was very good. They gave us free parking and Wi-Fi. They also gave us a certificate for a free room.
Cons: I am not sure they can do about the noise of the train. The personnel is very disorganized.
Location: Good location near UofO.
The first night they told us that the room had maintenance problems and they switched us to a regular room from a junior suit for the first night. They next day we found out that they had made a mistake and that they had given the room to another couple. No matter what room you stay in the noise of the train is very loud. Bring ear plugs, the ones they provide you with do not do the job. Jacuzzi was not working.

The wait staff were great. Patrick went above and beyond to assist me. The room was big but the remote did not work from the bed. Also on the last day I was there, housekeeping did not show up until 4:00 pm and she threw out what I had in the fridge. Also never replaced water bottles and I had no glasses to get water from the faucet! My room was right next to a busy street and the trains are very loud going thru town. Ask for south side. Maybe that would have helped!

Convenient

Posted May 5, 2015
Pros: food and location
Cons: service
Food is great, room was ok, television continued to go out, no valet available at check in and left to fend for myself, difficult due to a handicap
