“review of red carpet inn”
This hotel is great for travelers on a tight budget in Eugene. If you want to forego the cost of a rental car, you can get everywhere in Eugene by bus for $3 a day. the hotel is only two blocks from the bus stop, so it is very close. I was on personal expense, so this was a great way to save a few bucks. Serves continental breakfast and casual restaurants are within walking distance for other meals. Owner friendly and helpful with directions.

It was inexpensive but clean. And it didn't smell bad either.

no water bottles or smacks available...bad coffee in the morning & day/week old muffins....very smokey strong smell in the entrance and throughout the halls....bed OK but blankets didn't smell fresh...................
“Red Carpet Inn”
Hotel staff was not very friendly. There was no blow dryer or iron in the room and even though you could "borrow" one from the front office--it was inconvienient and I think those two items should be in every room in every hotel in the 21st century. We also had a problem with our card key for our door--it worked about 50% of them time--the rest of the time it set off the door alarm and you were locked out of your room--what a nightmare! If you really need an inexpensive place to stay and you can't find anywhere else--it would be okay, but if you have other options--take them!
“Worst hotel I have ever stayed in!”
Heat was unmanageable...the fixtures fell out of the wall in shower when turned on...dirty..towels were not sufficient in size or quantity..overall disappointing experience...
