I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of this motel. I have stayed in several others in Eugene in a similar price range and this was much nicer in every way. It's a little more "down town" than most of the places on the motel strip and so is closer in walking distance to the Saturday Market, Hult Center and lots of restaurants.

“Recommend with an asterisk”

This motel is trying very hard: beautifully landscaped with many flowers, gleaming hardwood floors in comfortable, large, clean rooms. The price is reasonable. It's easy to walk to the U of O campus, and there are many restaurants nearby. But the big asterisk is that it is directly across the street from the Greyhound bus station, and Eugene is a magnet for street people. At all hours, there were unkempt, seedy sorts hanging around. I was glad that I was with my 6'4" son, and even then we once crossed a street to avoid walking past 2 guys shouting at each other. I'm not sure that the innkeeper can do much about this, it's something the town of Eugene needs to work on.

“Older Motel, but clean”

Nice, locally owned Motel. Within walking distance from downtown Eugene. It's step up from Motel 6. I enjoyed my stay. The room was small, but clean. New flooring in bathroom and great towels. Very good water pressure and instant hot water. Had a nice selection of TV channels and free high speed internet. My last stay at a much fancy place charged me for internet service! The young man at the front desk was very helpful and friendly. I didn't have anyone in the room next to me, but could hear the people walking around above me. So if that bothers you get a 2nd floor room. Had read some reviews complaining about the bus station being across the street and people loitering around there. But I never saw a single person hanging around there the two days I was there. I was alone this trip, but never felt uncomfortable being by myself.

“Good room for the price.”

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The TV remote didn't work unless you got within 2-3 ft of the tV. May have been low batteries. The alarm clock didn't work but a wake up call was available and did happen. I would stay here again.
