Wouldn't Stay AgainPosted Oct 7, 2014
Pros: The grounds are pretty
Cons: Way over priced. They need to have breakfast available sooner, and have WIFI in all rooms
I paid over two hundred dollars, and the room wasn't any nicer than a cheap motel. The continental breakfast wasn't available until 7am, so I couldn't take advantage of it since I needed to leave at 6:30. There was also no WIFI, so that wrecked some of my plans for studying. When I booked, the info said WIFI was available, the actual hotel services book in the room said WIFI was available in some rooms.

Tear it downPosted Oct 6, 2014
Built in the 50s and no improvements since then. Price should be $59 per nite, not $159 per nite. At least 25 miles from the game and another 8 miles to valley river inn. And the shuttle. Not a Resort, more like motel 6 .

The Motel Experience from HellPosted Sep 22, 2014
Pros: It was close enough to the Best Western for us to move easily.
Cons: Either price the room right or make it competitive for the price.
Location: It's close to the freeway so you can get away quickly.
The first room that we were checked into had old food in the drawers and old clothing in the cabinet. There was a wet spot on the carpet that looked like the previous customer had left their pet in the room too long. The TV didn't work and the front desk did not answer the phone when we tried to call so we had to go back to the front counter to try for a solution. They changed us to the room next door where the entry light did not work and the next morning was when we found out that the shower did not drain, although it did wash up a spider the size of a silver dollar. Both rooms had nothing but the absolute minimum furnishings, not even space for a small refrigerator. This was a $35 room sold at $175.

Vintage...like motels in days pastPosted Aug 14, 2014
Cons: Just keep improving the buildings...lots of exterior paint and shake/roof repair needed.
Location: Just were passing through. Close to freeway.
Remembered this spot from when we drove through Oregon years ago and decided to book a stay. Very warm welcome and lovely staff. Room was huge, but decor was definitely from days gone by...especially the pink bathroom. Very clean with comfortable king bed, but could have had more pillows. Breakfast was great...nice selection. It looks like management is in process of updating. I hope they are able to keep this motel and its history. Will probable stop by again.

Nice Hotel with Fantastic gardens to wonder througPosted Aug 9, 2014
Pros: See above
Cons: The mattresses could have been a bit softer - if you like firm they were perfect.
Location: Gardens described above. Location convenient to going north or south . Easy to find in Cottage Grove. wineries nearby, nice restaurants
The hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating. A bit older but very quaint. Rooms were clean and comfortable. But the best part of the property were it's little gardens tucked around the property - and they were ample. Beautiful florals and garden scapes to delight and revive a sense of adventure and discovery. Must see.

Bathroom door couldn't shut quietly, digital tv had maddening reception, Wi-Fi was spotty at best...room 311. Otherwise, quiet, cool, peaceful place to stay, off the beaten path.

Bring pillows ...the ones offered are a joke. The lighting outside is dangerous it is so inadequate. Lighting in rooms is also inadequate I think they use 10watt bulbs Needs remodeled

Good, clean, comfortable place to stay. Nearby is great bakery, closed Sundays. Also a good BBQ place. About 20 minutes out of Eugene, close enough and convenient to the freeway. And the gardens are really cute.

The Gardens are AmazingPosted Jul 18, 2014
Pros: The gardens and pool.
Cons: The rooms need updating, and a refrigerator/freezer.
The gardens are amazing and magical. The pool area is very nice and clean. The room is old, there is a significant gap at the bottom of both doors, and there is no refrigerator. When I asked if they could freeze my two ice packs that I use to keep medication cold, they said they would. When I picked them up the next morning I was told by a different office person that they should not have put it in their employee-use fridge, and had only refrigerated it and didn't freeze it. It is 90 degrees most of the day in in-land Oregon.

Standard King roomPosted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: Hotel was in a perfect location to hit for biking and close to stores and downtown.
Cons: Locate an ice machine at last section of motel rooms.
Location: Next to bike trail for covered bridges tour. Beautiful water falls to drive and hike to along with mining claims you can do a day loop around.
Room was very dated but comfortable. I enjoyed the restful atmosphere the motel offered. Surprised, we were right by the freeway but traffic did not disturb us once in the room. Ice machine location was a walk and very hot due to laundry in the same room so opted to go across the facility to get ice, nothing around our room. Rain caused bugs and leaves to form on the pool but the next day when we wanted pool time, the pool and hot tub had been cleaned and was very refreshing. Staff was very good about making sure grounds were maintained.
