Pretty good.

The hotel staff was great and the breakfast was nice! The room decor is out of date. The garden is outstanding. I would stay there again if we are back in the area.

Old 50's dcor but very well kept and clean.
Posted Jan 18, 2013
Pros: The staff, cleanliness, and food
Cons: The bed needs a mattress memory foam topper
Location: Cottage Grove is a quaint Town
This facility is in my wife's home town. We can remember when it was built. It still has that 50's or 60's dcor but was very well kept and clean. The bed was too hard for us. The staff was excellent and we took my wife's mother out to a mother's day brunch which had excellent food and reasonable prices. With the exception of the bed (which could have been remedied with a memory foam mattress topper) the facility is a very good value.

Great hotel for a roadtrip.
Posted Jan 4, 2013
Pros: The price was great -- it has character, a little funky, but character.
Cons: Claim about recently remodeled refers only to the furniture, not the bathrooms. Those haven't changed since I first stayed there 50-some years ago.
Location: Location was good for our roadtrip. Very close to the freeway, but no traffic noise.
This is a terrific value. Close to the freeway for roadtrips, excellent breakfast, personable staff.

Great restaurant
Posted Jan 16, 2013 on Hotels.com
The food in the restaurant was excellent.. The whole lodge was very comfortable, comfortable couches strategically located and around the fireplace. I would like to have the opportunity to stay here and just wander around the gardens and enjoy the whole of it. The personnel were very pleasant and courteous. My room was clean, a little dated but that did not affect the comfort level. Carport to park under in case of inclement weather. Front door opens onto a nice lawn. I just wish I had had more time to enjoy the place, including the very inviting lounge. I would like to see a different type of heater in the room as it was quite noisy. Great place, I would recommend it to anyone.

Easy to find

The room was fine except it had an odor like urine, or mildew which was not pleasant getting used to. I was told it was the last pet room so did not ask to change rooms.

We stayed at the Village Green several years ago - - it's just getting very old and needs some TLC.

A Great Little Secret

We stayed at the Green last year , and will always stay there if we are in the area. I would also recommend it to others, both personal friends and family. The venue is beautiful even in the dead of winter, the rooms are spacious, nicely appointed and really private. The gardens are great and the restaurant and lounge are superb. Staff is well informed and available, the complementary breakfast is the real thing...all in all it is a GREAT place to stay for an overnight or a weeks vacation. Also, it is affordable, clean and well kept. There is covered parking in front of your room and the entire resort is on one level. As I said it is a GREAT place to stay!

Story book hotel!

The curb appeal of the hotel upon entry is very quaint and just lovely. The fact that it's a motor lodge where you drive up to your room is something you completely overlook because the grounds are just perfect. The whole place is so green and lush with walkways, bridges and large grassy areas right out of a romance novel. I understand they are remoldeling the rooms building by building so this place will be even better after they complete the work. They provide a pretty decent continental breakfast, with fresh piping hot waffles, baked breads as well as toast, fruit and of course coffee! It's about 15 minutes on I5 to get to the offramp to the center of Eugene. Not too bad and you just can't beat the price.
