“Excellent hotel service, nice room”

This was our rest stop on a road trip from Vancouver to San Francisco, travelling with a 2 year old and a 5 year old. Given the former comments I was expecting an adequate but shabby hotel. I was pleasantly surprised! Clean, bright, and with friendly staff, this hotel really made our trip more pleasant. The gardens are quite pretty in February and would be gorgeous April-October. The complimentary breakfast is buffet-style and quite good. . We were upgraded to a deluxe room on arrival. I think the renos are still going on, but we got one of the renovated rooms and oh my, they are nice! Good beds, well-laid-out room and the gas fireplace as a heater was a nice touch. The only down side was the single-pane windows: traffic noise and train noise was quite noticeable and I'd bring a white noise machine in future.

“A wonderful surprise”

We stopped at Village Green Resort on our way from LA to Seattle because it looked like a nice place to stay and we didn't wish to stop in Eugene. It was far more than "nice". The room was clean and comfortable and nicely furnished, but the real treat was the large park like garden, the fireplace cove where you could have a glass of wine before dinner, the restaurant which was very attractive and the food very good, and the surrounding country which is Oregon beautiful. We took a short drive after dinner and checked out three nearby old covered bridges. Next time we stop here we will plan to spend more time.

“Found luxury in an out of the way escape!”

When checking in I had originally thought i was bringing my puppy, turned out I didn't and the check in man gave me a discount and an upgraded room. We got to the room and it was beautiful, decorated with beautiful pictures and the fireplace was such a nice centerpiece to the room, European duvets covered the king size bed it looked so warm and cozy. Checked out the bathroom and was pleasantly surprised by the shampoo, soap and conditioner on the wall in the shower, The shampoo was great, luxurious, and made my hair usually frizzy in rain act natural. I requested the brand on a card they provide for comments haven't heard anythig yet, but I know I will. Thank you for a great stay off the beaten track.

“Ann”

This was an incredible value. Wonderful restaurant and bar/lounge on site. Acres of gardens. The rooms are nicely done, although there were a few stains on carpet and duvet cover. This is 30 minutes from Eugene, but a nice quaint get away.

“Beautiful grounds”

Even though this hotel os close to the freeway it is a lovely place to stay with the mose lovely gardens and grounds. Plus it is dog friendly -- we were delightfully surprised. And in a very nice bonus for weary travelers the restaurant was also nice and the food was good.

“Beautiful hotel”

Stayed here after a show in Cottage Grove. This place is adorable with the rooms resembling cottages, connected, and spread out over a large garden. The rooms are what you expect for the price, they are clean and spacious. The little extras that make this place stand out are the individual patios connected to the rooms, gorgeous gardens immediately outside the rooms, a cute and cozy reception room with a fire place and comfortable couches, and an elegant lounge where you can dine next to the fireplace. The cons about this place was the proximity to the freeway so when you in the gardens enjoying them, all you hear is the sound of the freeway, a slightly earlier check-out than other hotels (11 am), breakfast served until 10 am but lunch isn't served until noon so if you miss breakfast and you check out, you have to wait for an hour before lunch.

“Especially for garden lovers”

Gas fireplace in the room was very cozy in January. Comfortable beds with 4 extra-plumpy pillows on each. The breakfast area (restaurant) was exceptionally attractive. Hubby enjoyed the freshly-baked, light Belgian waffle. The gardens were wonderful even in winter - lots of visual interest in plants and garden art. Loved studying all the named gardens described in the brochure, and can't wait to get back in a warmer season and see them in their full glory.

“Road trip”

Unique hotel with private patio garden was nice. The free breakfast was free for a reason (just okay).

“Fabulous Gardens”

We were very impressed by the rooms and the breakfast but most of all by the fabulous gardens which are well maintained with a large variety of northwest plants.
