“Great for the price”

We got this hotel for very cheap and it was exactly what we were looking for: a simple, clean place to lay our heads. The hotel looked like it had been refurbished recently and the staff was very nice. The hotel was super easy to find as it's right across from the train station. The only blemish I could see what that it wasn't in the heart of the old city (which was breathtaking). However, it was only a couple blocks walk to the cathedral and old city so we had it pretty good.

“Good stuff, good value”

This is a fine little hotel, just across from the train station. It is within a minute or two's walk from the cathedral. Facilities are basic but perfectly good for the money. The room was clean and pleasant. The staff were friendly and helpful. For the price, this hotel is excellent. In summary: good stuff. Thank you Hotel Jehan de Beauce.

“Good find”

We were only in Chartres for a day and wanted to be close to the train station. We were a little concerned because hotels near a station are not often up to par. But this one was--clean, well-run, quiet, reasonable. We were quite pleased and would recommend it as a good two star choice.

“On night stopover”

A nice comfortable, simple hotel. Close to all the attractions, ideal for a short stay. The staff pleasant and helpful

“Chartres”

Immediately across the street from train station. Pleasant staff, clean and comfortable room, although small as usual for European hotels. A few inexpensive restaurants within one block, a bit noisy at night due to the locals. Overall, would stay again.

“below average”

We had two rooms. One room never got warm. In the other the water from the shower always overflowed on to the floor.

“Rather tired rooms”

Rather tired rooms but close to the station, parking, and the cathedral. Reception were most friendly, helpful and kind and spoke English very well.

“Would never go back to this hotel”

The room was very dusty. The walls were paper thin. Service at the front desk was not welcoming and the entire place smelled like stale cigarette smoke.
