Great hotel in centre of Chartres
Posted Jan 8, 2013
Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: Nothing
Location: Great location in centre of Chartres
Right in the centre of Chartres, just minutes walking distance of the Cathedral and all the shops and other attractions. Hotel restaurant worth a visit in te evening, but so many other wonderful restaurants nearby. The illuminations after dark on the Cathedral and many other buildings are worth staying up for.

Good location and value and shower was good and great to have parking. Towels were threadbare and only view from the room was of the next (close) building.

Peaceful, friendly, inexpensive
Posted Jan 31, 2012
Pros: We enjoyed the quiet rooms. At last, a budget hotel without paper-thin walls!
Location: Centrally located: you can walk to all the sights in Chartres
We arrived a bit earlier than check-in time, but were greeted warmly and allowed to have our room right away. The staff was consistently very friendly (and there is a real charmer of a dog in the lobby) and did their best to offer us assistance and make sure we had all we needed. The bed was comfortable, and it was one of the quietest hotel rooms I have ever stayed in: no noise of slamming doors, nearby lifts or groaning plumbing.

Good city Ctr location must book parking

Pleasent mid range hotel near city Ctr. Helpful and cheerful reception staff. Clean quite spacious room (disabled room on 1st for) Onsite restaurant looked good (didn't use it) several others nearby. Parking is very limited on site so book a slot. There is street parking and a secure underground park nearby so no big deal. I would use this Hotel again.

Pleasant basic hotel just a short walk from town
Posted Jan 19, 2012 on Hotels.com
There was a slight problem getting to the hotel: the street it's in is one-way going out of the city, but we got there ok. It's small but the receptionists were helpful and the room was clean, the bed large, and there was a sweet little terrace outside. Only problems: only one very soft pillow each (this seems common in France) and only mirror in the bathroom. Breakfast was adequate & the coffee very good. It's only a short walk into the city itself.

L. Hotel Chartres

This is a great hotel. The room was quite large for a French hotel. The location was nice and walking distance to everything. Also there was parking on the property for 5 euro a day which was great. Awesome shower.

I've used this Hotel before, and it is an ideal stopover on the way to Channel crossings from the Midi-Pyrenees. Greate location, being in the center of Chartres. Comfortable rooms at an affordable price.

Good value hotel in great location

This hotel is situated just a 10 minute walk from the cathedral so is perfectly placed for a a short visit. We chose a twin comfort room, which was quite cosy and comfortable enough and the bathroom modern and spotlessly clean. Unfortunately we were on the first floor, which is best avoided due to the breakfast lounge being on the same corridor and what with breakfast being served between 7-9am, you will get early morning traffic along the corridor. Also the restaurant downstairs offers a rather stale smell of food but fortunately it doesn't penetrate the rooms. The air conditioning is noisy but you won't need it because the hotel is off the main road so opening the window will not make the room noisy. Try and reserve a parking space otherwise you'll have to park in the underground garage, which is just 5 minutes away. Overall not bad at all for a 2 star rated hotel.
