“Highly recommend”

My husband and I stopped in Chartres before heading back to Paris and it was a highlight of our trip. They couldn't have been more accomodating, I booked on the wrong day but since I purchased the flexible option, they didn't have any problem that we were a day late (but I wouldn't recommend counting on that). Nicholas was wonderful. The hotel is very clean and modern, it was completely renovated 4 months ago. A fantastic contrast to the old cathedral nearby. The cathedral is a short walk up a cobblestone street, city parking is underground so it's a nice walk anywhere and there's a great outdoor mall right there too. I highly recommend a room with a view of Chartres, we could see the great lightshow at night on 3 historic building and woke up to a stunning view of the cathedral. The breakfast buffet was top notch too.

Will definately go back next time I am in Chartres!!! It was a convenient distance from the Cathedral and the train station. The staff was friendly and the room was very comfortable and inviting. We loved it!!

“Great hotel in Chartres”

Big room. Great bathroom Excellent location. Great staff Can't go wrong here!!!! Only wish that parking was onsite. The little town of Chartres has a central parking right below the main square facing the hotel. So parking is easy. But, depending on where you find a spot, you have to drag your bags for 1-2 blocks. Also, we were there for one day and parking was about 18 Euros

“gem of a hotel in the centre of the city”

we were looking for a clean ,comfortable reasonablly priced hotel in the town of Chartres that was easily accessible to the train station and the cathedral that we had come to visit...no extra facilities but we were referred to several restaurants within an easy walk. very quiet for sleeping as well!

“Fine hotel, Great location but not if you have a car and luggage”

The hotel is new, modern, air-conditioned, pleasant and located directly in the center of Chartres and near the Cathedral and quite central. However, the location of the hotel is on a curve of a busy two-lane road into the center square (foot-mall)--and there is no where to pull over or to park your car, and no one to help you with your luggage, even if you pull over a block or so up the road. there is an underground parking lot nearby, but again, you had better be able to carry or roll your suitcase(s) yourself, as it is a considerable distance. Otherwise, everything in the hotel is what one would hope for, and the staff are helpful and friendly. It's a good value, especially on Expedia.
