will not be on our list to revisit

The rooms are old, and rustic. No air conditioning, so open windows were necessary. Hotel is close to the road so lots of traffic noise.

NO AIR CONDITIONING OR FAN

Posted Jul 28, 2015
Pros: Close to Redwood National Park
Cons: There is no air conditioning.
Location: Redwood National Forest
WARNING!! This hotel has no air conditioning or fans. I never even considered that this could be possible for this price room. It was hot and stuffy and the only ventilation of any kind was a small window overlooking a construction zone. For the price, I was very disappointed. We have been staying at Motel 6 type hotels across the country and this is not even close to that level of comfort.

The stay was fine.

The room is what I was expecting. The staff are friendly. But carpet was extremely dirty.

Homeward bound

Posted Jul 25, 2015
Pros: Price for a night's stay.
Cons: The soda machine was empty. The continental breakfast provided was pretty sparse on selection.
Older motel. Needs a facelift both inside the rooms and outside. Would not stay here again.

Old run down hotel.

Posted Jul 22, 2015
Very poor hotel. Run down. Not even able to purchase cold drinks of any kind. Staff sat outside riding skateboards and smoking, not interested in making guests feel comfortable. Found better hotels at a lower price in same area after we checked in.

I refused to stay.

The place smelled of smoke. My reservation was for 2 nights. I was told only one night was reserved. I left.

Redwoods

Posted Jul 20, 2015
Pros: Very simple but clean. Very good staff. They gave us a fan when we told them how hot our room was.
Cons: Need to advertise no AC and give fans when you check in. Couldn't have made it without one.
Location: Redwood Forrests
We chose this because it was close to the Redwoods. Good little community. Did not know there was no AC

Spacious and very clean rooms

Posted Jul 19, 2015
We stayed here for 4 nights. The rooms are very spacious, almost like a suite. The staff was quite friendly and helpful. The cleaning staff came in daily to make beds, dump garbage, renew towels & wash cloths. Each room has frig. & micro, desk & chair, table & chairs, and a long area to hang clothes up with provided hangers. Breakfasts were quite adequate: cereals, juices. fresh fruits, hard boiled eggs, muffins, bagels, toast. And good coffee. We felt right at home. We loved the big trees and the ocean experience. And an extra shout out to the Les Schwab Tire Service Center who quickly came to our aid when we got a tire pressure warning. They fixed us up in nothing flat and never charged us a penny. We loved our stay in Crescent City and our hotel stay.
