“Clean quiet hotel in Eureka”

This hotel is on the 101, which runs through Eureka. Our room was, nonetheless, as quiet any I have stayed in anywhere. Not sure how they do it. The hotel seemed new and was perfectly clean. The breakfast was good and I felt comfortable staying there. It is not in a particularly nice area (it's Eureka, after all), but I could not ask for more in that quality/price range. I would stay there again.

“Avoid Eureka and their hotels if you can”

This hotel was actually one of the best that we found, which doesn't say much for the hotel options available in Eureka. The hotel seemed dirty and had an awful smell the morning we left...both of which could have been a result of the road construction going on nearby. Nonetheless, our stay was not the best. The breakfast was also suboptimal and I suggest you skip the free continental breakfast and spend a few dollars on a muffin and coffee some place else.

Dining

Practically all of the restaurants in Eureka close by 9pm so plan accordingly. We ended up eating at a national chain restaurant and were very disappointed with the food.

“Reasonable Hotel Choice in Eureka”

As far as Eureka offers, this hotel has enough good qualities to recommend it. Even though it's located on a busy street, if you get a room toward the back of the hotel it's reasonably quiet. Room was comfortable and clean with nice flat screen TV. We had to request additional Kleenex, but they were quick to bring it up. Breakfast was pretty generic but reasonably good.

“Good for a nights stay...”

The room and hotel in general was very clean. Nice to have the extended breakfast selection in the morning for the kids. We also took advantage of the pool - it was very nice after a long day of driving. The room was very small and I had to remind myself that this wasn't a "destination" but more of a "just passing through" hotel. Hotel staff seemed like they had a long day when I checked in at 5:00PM and then again when I checked out the next day. Not sure if I would stay there again.

“Eureka Best Western”

Overall, the stay in the hotel was good. The layout of the room was nicely designed, ergonomically speaking, spacious and comfortable. The staff was friendly and courteous. The accompanying breakfast was good, but the breakfast area is rather small, being situated right next to the check-in desk. The hotel is located close to some national parks, redwood forests and nature refuges, making it well positioned for tourists interesting in experiencing these areas of northern California.

“Just a inn beside road.(no more expectation)”

The review was overestimated here. This hotel was no better than any other comfort inns. Hotel clerk was not kind when I checked in. And the view from the 1st floor room was only wooden wall of the next house. The small swimming pool was under cleaning on memorial day. Don't expect too much about this hotel. it's so so.

Area recommendations

If you want to visit Redwoon national park, Holiday inn or any other hotel in far norh of Eureka are better places to lodge.

“Very Nice”

The only complaint was that the pool was out of order at the time of our stay. But other than that, it was a very nice stay. The staff was very nice and helpful. Hot continental breakfast was delicious and always fresh and the breakfast area kept clean at all times. We will definately stay here again if ever we are in Eureka.
