Nice little town

The motel seemed decent for the money. We had no issues with the motel or staff.

Kudos for most things, except for sleeping comfort

Posted Jul 21, 2014
PROS: Broken AC unit fixed immediately. Staff great. Pool clean, indoors (a nice bonus). Quiet. Breakfast included and good basic fare. Breakfast area clean and neat. Convenient to small shopping center with market, and restaurants. CONS; Beds are quite uncomfortable, and pillows are way firm. Bathroom functional but dingy and in need of update.

Adequate facility convenient to Redwoods.

Posted Jul 20, 2014
Cons: Needs more room for breakfast seating.
Location: Fairly good base from which to visit the Redwoods State and National Parks. Also close to Humbolt State University.
My initial arrival was unpleasant. Although my search criteria was for a pet friendly hotel and that is why we selected the hotel. When we arrived at 10 PM with our prepaid reservation through Expedia there were no Pet rooms available. So we were charged $50.00 for an unregistered pet, to clean the room. Secondly we had listed that we had 3 kids, but all the rollaway beds were already given out. The staff did however find an extra mattress to put on the floor so we only had to have 2 kids share a bed. Expedia's web site needs to have explicit ways to state that a pet friendly room is to be reserved to and ways to ask for extra beds to be reserved to avoid these kind of problems in the future.

Breakfast

Posted Jul 20, 2014
Pros: Spacious rooms.
Cons: Be able to get coffee and breakfast by 5:00 am
Location: This motel was on our way from the Redwood national forest and heading home to Minnesota
We came in from the redwoods late, got up early and left by 6:00 am . Office door was lock no breakfast no coffee. There were 3 others that left before us.

Pet friendly

My dog would not get off of the bed. The floor was stained and smelly. We paid extra for our dog you would think they would clean the carpet more often.

Close to stores restaurants beach. Nice

Excellent! Wish we had stayed there another night instead of going to Eureka Days Inn. No comparison

Nice staff but motel was old/not in great shape

Posted Jul 6, 2014
We chose Days Inn so we could bring our small dog. Thank god we only stayed one night. The shower looked clean but the toilet hadn't been cleaned. Beds old and uncomfortable - which didn't bother me because it was only one night. But, the carpet was horribly stained. One of the house cleaners was extremely nice leaving extra towels for our dog since it rained. Other than that she was the only bright spot.

Clean and well-maintained

Friendly, helpful staff, clean rooms that are well maintained. The indoor pool with basketball hoop was a plus for the kids. Breakfast room was small and crowded, but food was good.

Nothing fancy. But clean and comfortable. A little difficult to control room temperature. Staff friendly and helpful.
