Convenient location

Posted Oct 15, 2014
Pros: Location was good; easy to get in and out of.
Cons: Better signage on streets.
Location: Found a great Mexican restaurant nearby (Rita's)
Easy to get to and convenient as right along the highway. Was a bit cool for the pool but hot tub was nice. Breakfast was fine.

This motel had one of the cleanest room we stayed in during this 9 days trip on Oregon-California coast. We stayed mostly in budget motels and for $30-40 more it was worth the money. Staff was friendly and helpful. There is a non-heated pool, hot tub and sauna, which was nice. There is Dutch Bors. Coffee across the street.

Showing effects of age and low maintenance.

The staff were very nice and helpful. The facility is bordering on grim.

OK

Posted Sep 4, 2014
Cons: Pool had cold water. Brrr.
Location: In walking distance to the historic town.
Nothing special. For the price segment a bold OK. Rooms were clean and spacious enough for 3.

Nice with one problem

Posted Sep 1, 2014 on Hotels.com
The room was large, clean, ready when we arrived. Good firm bed, which is very important to me. Only problem was the bath towels were stiff, hard and very scratchy. Just cheap overly washed linens. I will stay there next time driving thru Eureka. Just bring in my own towel. John Skinner

Good value

Eureka is a great town. Our stay was just fine. We were on a limited budget and Super 8 was affordable. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Hotel itself smelled not-so-nice and the room didn't have an air conditioner. (By not-so-nice, I mean my stomach still churns thinking about the odor in our room. And hallways. Old farts, anyone?) I hope the management will deploy some serious air freshening technology post haste. It'd make a world of difference.
