“Anniversary trip”
Experienced hot water inconsistancy while showering/bathing. Window unit with heat warmed the room to content. Ghost tour was a little disapointing. Glad we did it, but wouldn't do it again.
“Fun for some but not all.”
For a general hotel experience it was fun and comfortable. In terms of a trip for the haunted thrill seekers, it is what you make it. The hotel itself is creepy, and the stories behind it are interesting, but the tour was more geared toward family fun. Having experienced this with a group of 20 yr old guys, I'm afraid that those who are not new to the horror genre of movies and trips might find the execution of the hotel's frightening aspects a bit lame. To those who might be easily scared, this is sure to be an exciting and thrilling stay.
“Not impressed”
Very pretty hotel from the outside but lack of upkeep inside -- especially in the rooms.
“Hotel”
Very old had its charm but not my thing
“If you can handle the smell in the room and hate taking a shower, it may sense stay one night .”
Bad odor inside the rooms, room carpet needs to be change. There is an insufficient flow of water that allows you to take a decent shower. The handles of the hotel’s main doors are falling apart. In general, major restoration is needed in this historical hotel.Otherwise, the hotel is situated in a beautiful location.
“Crescent Hotel was a lot of fun”
If you want to stay in a historic hotel with tons of interesting history this is the place for you. Although old in nature the grounds are absolutely stunning. We did the ghost tour one night and although pricey we really enjoyed getting in the spirit of it and seeing some places in the hotel you wouldn't normally stay.
“"Not Impressed"”
The bath room were so small you had to stand in the door way to shave. The floor was so unlevle the bed was 3in. lower on one side. We called for a bellboy to help with luggage,it took 45min. to get there.
“Disappointed”
We were so excited to stay at the Crescent. It is a beautiful hotel with magnificent views, but the hotel personnel were rude and did not try to be helpful. There were no extra pillows for my pregnant daughter in law, the ghost tours were very annoying right outside the room. We ate in the fourth level bistro bar, the food was okay but they couldn't even make a virgin drink for my daughter in law. We went on the ghost tour and it was hoky, there was hardly any history to the tour and the tour guide was trying hard to make things up. For instance, she said the ghost would tell her what the baby was going to be? Then argued with us when she was wrong. All in all, a grand hotel stay was ruined by the people in the building.
“Mediocre at best”
My comments are being directed to do with Expedia, per se. When we checked in we asked if there was a room with a balcony. The reply was negative, but we were supposedly "upgraded." Upon checkout they accidentally gave me the receipt sent to Expedia, in which they upgraded the cost to you. That is not what I asked for. If you had to pay them more than you received, I am afraid that you have been cheated. The service in both the dining room and bar upstairs was TERRIBLE, and the room was extremely crowded, the bathroom so tiny you could hardly turn around in it, and we didn't sleep all night because the rain fell on the window airconditioner (right next to my bed) all night long. If you were charged an additional fee, I would protest, for sure.
“Lot Of history”
There is alot of history with this holet but it is 124 year old so the age shows in yor room and bath.
