Nice hotel where you can take big dogs

Posted Jun 3, 2014
They have the bear river park across the street, staff is friendly toward dogs. It is an older hotel could use some updates, but otherwise it was perfect.

This hotel was the most expensive of 11 motels we stayed at and the most disgusting. I would recommend tearing it down and starting over. Even when we went out to eat, the locals said it was the worst motel in the town of Evanston. Saw only about 10-12 cars there when we left.

ok for 1 night

The place was a little hard to find but once there I slept well. Comfortable room if a bit small. I now, by email got a $1.50 safe charge I did not order or use but this is not a problem, don't yet know if shows up on my credit card.

Dear Mr. John C.: On behalf of our hotel staff, I am writing to let you know how delighted we were to receive your kind words of praise on your hotel stay that it was comfortable. Given the very nature of the hotel business, the hours are long and demanding. Day or night, good service depends upon people willing to give their very best at all times. That's why it is truly rewarding when a guest recognizes our efforts, and takes the time to say thank you. We accommodate many guests each evening, and we strive to make their night's stay a satisfying one. The principal goal of our hotel is to provide dependable service to all of our guests at reasonable prices. However, it is only through our guests’ eyes that we can accurately assess the quality of the accommodations and services we provide. Again, let me thank you for your kind words. We are committed to total guest satisfaction, and we look forward to your next visit. Sincerely, Ben Hughes

The stay was very quiet and clean. The location was a bit off the beaten path but like i said nice and quiet and the continental breakfast was very nice. I would definitely stay at Econo Lodge Evanston again.

Should have four stars

We stayed an extra night because it was such a value. We have stayed at 3.5 customer rating motels for over $100 that were not as good. The fitness room and laundry were out of order but we did not need them anyway.

Dirty

The bathroom was disgusting, the mattresses were old and horribly uncomfortable and the service was marginal. There is a saloon behind the hotel with loud customers.

Dear VTizzy, I want to apologize to you about your stay that we were unable to satisfy you. I want you to know that the bathroom cleanliness and marginal service from the staff, has been brought to the attention of our team. I strive to make every guests' stay with us as comfortable as possible. We have someone at the desk 24 hours a day and if the bed were unsatisfactory, I wish we could have had a chance to accommodate you better had we known. Hope you will give us another chance in the future to serve you. Best Regards, Valerie Crum Manager
