desk clerk from hellPosted Aug 26, 2013
Pros: normally no problems as this is 4th year we've stayed here for Frog Follies. This stress put a damper on the whole trip.
Cons: desk clerk needs training in dealing with customers.
Location: plenty of shopping & eating places nearby.
upon checking in we were told room had been given to an unexpected USF Holland truck driver (contractual obligation) & we would not be able to get into our room until 9 or 10 PM (this was at 4:30PM). Truck driver was asleep & she was not going to wake him up to give us the reserved room. Female clerk (name unknown) was extremely rude almost to the point of our feeling as if we were stranded away from home without a room. We had been at Frog Follies all day, tired, hot & hungry. Kept saying she had a single. Asked her if non-smoking? yes. Is it a queen size bed? yes. Then give us the room as that is what we asked for originally. Clerk left her shift leaving night shift clerk, Lacey, to pick up the pieces. Lacey apologized for other clerk's behavior. Whole situation should have been handled differently. Should never have put us through this, just tell the customer you can't provide the original room but can provide comparable room. Clerk definitely needs training in customer relation skills.

NOt ImpressedPosted Jun 21, 2013 on Hotels.com
We thought we were going to stay for two nights, but after the first night we had to go! The old printed bedspread felt dated and the carpet felt sticky. Won't go back.

Good price, terrible beds.Posted Apr 2, 2013
Cons: Hard, worn out bed with plastic cover on the mattress.
Location: Right off the interstate, convenient for travelers.
When I got to the hotel, they put me in a room that smelled like someone had been burning incense. I told them about it, and they gave me a different room. Overall, the hotel was clean. The beds were terrible, and the TV's were outdated. The hotel needs to be updated. The price was good, but I would spend a little more to get a better bed. The staff was friendly, and helpful.

It was what I expected...Posted Jan 23, 2013 on Hotels.com
The room was good and just what I was expecting. The bed was serviceable, the room was clean, and the bathroom had enough towels. The free breakfast was what I expected and did the job until lunch. The location was perfect and very close to everything I needed to be close to.
