Howard Johnson Evansville East

The best hotel i've ever stayed at for that price. I've paid 3 times as much for other hotels that weren't as clean, friendly, or comfortable.The next time i get a hotel room, it will be at a Howard Johnson.

One of the days that I stayed at the hotel I left the room after 1pm and when I returned later that night I noticed that the room had not been cleaned.

Luckily, we only stayed one night. The drain in our shower drained very slowly. The fan in the bathroom either had very little cfm or none, which resulted in the wallpaper pulling from the walls. (Who wallpapers a bathroom in the first place?!). I booked a room for a family of 5 and they gave me 2 queen beds, which I knew 3 kids in one bed would keep us up all night. They wouldn't give me a roll away bed to put in the room, so my son ended up on the floor. I don't know what the deal with the mattresses was, but none of my family slept well and my kids can sleep almost anywhere, maybe I should've slept on the floor too.

The only thing I saw that needed help was providing more help up front. I walked in during afternoon rush and felt like I waited forever to get checked in. The girl up front was so sweet and never seemed bothered by the aggravated customers but I feel like someone should of been helping her.

The stay ended a lot better than it started. Our first room was not clean at all and we almost didn't get another one. The one we got looked as if it had been cleaned in a hurry. I felt sorry for the young lady at the desk because she seemed to be the only one there and was in need of help. This was our first time staying at a Howard Johnson's; this did not leave a positive lasting impression. Hopefully the service will improve for everyone involved.

I was quite surprised at both the asthetics of the facility and the friendliness of the staff at this hotel.

The room next to us have a party there was 20people in that room they went to sleep at 3am then the housekeeper was yelling up and down the hall at 4am didn't sleep at all

Nice hotel. Breakfast was lame, but very nice place to stay for what I paid.

Was disappointed that I was not informed that our beds would not be made if any personal belongings were left on the bed. I understand the policy, but we should have been made aware in advance instead of being left a piece of paper on the bed that says we did not make your bed because you left a personal item on it. Have never heard of this before.....
