OK but NoisyPosted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: Reasonably clean. Staff are friendly.
I booked this hotel as it was rated reasonably high. We were given as room on the second floor which was directly outside the vent for the swimming pool - so our view was of a flat black roof. Generally, I open the windows during the night for fresh air but this time, the fan noise outside was so loud that we had to close the window. The hotel is also close the railway track and a nearby crossing and for some reason, every train that goes past blow the horns about 3-4 times - this was extremely loud that startled the whole family awake several times during the night despite having the window closed. We left the hotel extremely tired the following morning. We will not likely be looking at hotels in these areas again and travel somewhere else that is quieter.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! They will charge you for "damages" to a room even if you did not damage the room. They cannot contact you through Expedia and they will believe the people prior to you but will not believe that you did not damage the room! I was charged $2,000 for supposedly damaging a door!!!! They will not listen to reason! STAY AWAY from this hotel!!!! Especially if you are booking through Expedia!!!

PleasantPosted Jun 27, 2014
Pros: The shower is good (good water pressure, nice shower head), the room is on the large size, and there is a good size refrigerator.
We stayed at the GuestHouse at the conclusion of Cascade 1200, a cycling event. Our room was nice, and staff was friendly and accommodating.

A real find. Near restaurants and convenient.Posted Jun 13, 2014
Cons: No recommendations.
Location: Near Snonomish village, Monroe Fairgrounds, gateway to Steven's Pass. I was there because nearly all of the hotels were booked in Everett. I'm glad.
Friendly staff, comfortable room, great breakfast, good WiFi. All that I required!

Close to Fairgrounds!Posted Feb 2, 2014
Pros: It's close to the Fairgrounds, ok price, and a good breakfast.
Cons: More waffle makers and perhaps two breakfast bars to handle the annual crowd that stays here and needs to be at the Fairgrounds by a certain time.
Location: The location is in Monroe, WA, a lovely area. Unfortunately due to commitments at the Fairgrounds, we never get a chance to sight-see.
I had heard that if you booked thru Expedia, you got a worse room, situated near noise. I'm not sure if that's true, but we did wind up with a "handicap" room (not requested!) on the 1st floor, near an exit door that banged open and shut frequently. The room was ok, but clearly designed for someone in a wheel chair. The other small nit was trying to get breakfast with the dining room packed, and only one waffle maker. Perhaps when they know they will have a big crowd (the event we attended is yearly on roughly the same date), they could put in another waffle maker and a few more chairs. Yes, I will stay here again, and specify the floor I want!

It was not my best experience.Posted Jan 8, 2014
Pros: They did keep me on the ground floor as requested
Cons: Customer service
I was kept awake all night because the toilet was not working correctly and when I asked the hotel desk clerk I was told that housekeeping did not arrive until 0900. I was given a key to the room across the hall so I could at least go to the bathroom, that was real fun!!! No one even apologized for the inconvenience or anything, they never offered me another room, they acted like it was no big deal and to them it probably wasn't, they didn't have to sit and listen to that thing flushing for 12 hours. There are no refrigerators in the rooms and then the cable remote stopped working, UUUUGGGGGG!!!!!

A VERY NICE FACILITY. THE BREAKFAST IS NOT LAVISH, BUT IS ADEQUATELY PREPARED AND SERVICED. THE COFFEE IS GOOD.WHAT WOULD MAKE THIS HOTEL A SCREAMING BARGAIN WOULD BE SMALL REFRIGERATORS AND MICROWAVES IN THE ROOMS. WE MISS THOSE.

The hotel was in a great location. Breakfast was ok, not great. Staff was friendly but did not go out of way to assist.
