“Quiet and unassuming gem”

Quiet little town location with good service, clean rooms in good repair and easy access to the Keys, Miami. Local town boasts history and the finest Mexican restaurants in southern Florida bar none.

“We feel cheated”

Book 3 days in this hotel in March 2011 visiting the Everglades throught Expedia .We check in at 11pm and they gave us a handicapped room with a toilet 10 inches higher than nomal, my feet can`t reach the floor seated. Next day we asked for an ordinary room, manager demands 40% more i.We considered it an abusse and did not accepted.The rest an ordinary motel, bad breakfast, bad service, well ubicated for visiting the everglades

Nice motel clean, large breakfast, felt like it was in a safe neighborhood, lived up to the Best Western name

“Very nice hotel if you are not expecting too much”

We were happy with the accommodations. Room was adequate and clean. Location was great for our needs......close to the Everglades and close to the Keys. Breakfast was OK. Pool was rather chilly. Staff was efficient and friendly.

“Gateway to keys”

There is also an excellent little local restrauant in front of the hotel for frsh sea food & wine.The directions are little off, you can access the hotel easiy from US#1 the address is on the street west of highway which makes it harder to find than it needs to be. only had 2 washers & dryers for guests. had to plan your laundry. Tornado proof, so needed hard wire connection for interrnet, no WIFI

“Stop here on your way to the Keys”

This was more than I expected from a Best Western. I occasionally spend time at higher class hotels and was pleasantly surprised at the amenities and service at this Best Western. Because it was a mid-class hotel, I had to hold back on giving it more 5 ratings. It wasn't a 5-star hotel, but it wasn't supposed to be. But it was very satisfying and exceeded my expectations.

“One of the most comfortable experiences in our travels”

This was a very comfortable hotel. The breakfast was much more than what we expected. Morning breakfast was a very popular spot to meet other travellers. We met some interesting people from Britain and elsewhere. Our mattress was a bit soft but once I requested that it be turned, it was done promptly. The service provided by the staff was exemplary. We were offered excellent information about restaurants, shopping and sightseeing.

“I'll be back”

Had a late arrival and check in was efficient. Room was clean, bright and cheery. Bed extremely comfortable. Good selection at the continental breakfast. Only complaint was that the breakfast area was busy and crowed with no place left to sit. Had to sit in lobby as they wouldn't allow food to be taken to your room. Check out was fast.

“More than expected”

Nice, spacious room -- was perfect for an overnight stay before heading to Key West.
