Staff not very helpful

I recently stayed for 2 nights, hotel is very nice and clean. Staff was not very helpful. When I was in my room I was flipping through the channels on the television and noticed that someone had set the parental controls on the HBO channels. I was able to watch only movies that were pg-13 or below. I called the front desk and the young girl that answered was not very helpful, she did not know how to fix it but promised me she would call someone and call me back. Never received call. On my second night I was hoping it was fixed but when I returned to the room at 6:00 pm it was not.I then called the front desk again and talkedndustry with a young man. He did not know about the problem nor how to fix it. He promised me he would call someone and call me back. He did remind me it was my last night there anyway?? In other words who cares. I waited about an hour and still no call. I called again and was told the maintenance man was there and he would talk to him and call me back. Five minutes later he called back and told me nothing could be done. I am a regional manager for the apartment industry and know all about customer service, your company needs a lot of training in this area.

The only way we improve our operation is through comments such as yours- and be assured we will take this very seriously. Our chief engineer will be hosting a training segment on proper use of the controls, and how to trouble shoot when issues like this occur. I will also address the 'lackluster' approach when attempting to handle the problem once reported. Very nice hotel close to Everglades National Park

Pros: Nice contemporary decorating.
Location: The Everglades are nearby.
We arrived in the evening so it was very convenient to have a light supper in thei hotel cafe. The fountain and seating area in the back of the hotel was relaxing. Our room was very comfortable and quiet.

Marriott Courtyard - Homestead FL.

Pros: Heated pool a definite plus during winter months!
Cons: Bistro - it is currently a half-measure. Not full service but not self-service either. Make it one or the other. The only negative at the hotel.
Early March 2014 - restful, calm, pleasant staff, comfortable beds, very clean.

Comfortable hotel l

Cons: Bistro catering
The postal address confused our satnav so we wasted quite a time finding the hotel. Room etc perfectly OK and as expected. Bistro catering was disappointing, Limited choice, erratic service, food was ok. Very small scale for a large hotel.

We apologize about the issues that came up during your stay such as the NAV system not working and the Bistro was a cause of disappointment. We have been working on our satellite location for some time now- hopefully soon we will see some improvement. As far as your comments on the Bistro we will be sure to share these with the team, and focus more on individual training.

Pros: The hotel staff
Cons: See comment on food service.
Location: I found the location excellent for our access to the Keys and the Everglades.
Room was adequate and the staff was pleasing, however the hotel food service was sorely inadequate during our stay. Considering the limited food service a simple free breakfast would have been more appealing for the cost of the 5 day stay.

Surprisingly nice

Location: Biscayne National Park is a 20-minute drive.
The room was very large, modern and clean. I especially liked the bathroom. I would definitely stay here again.
