not worth the money

Posted Jan 1, 2012
Pros: nothing
Cons: everything
Location: poor
it was very run down the bath room bath handle feel off, it was not even hook to the pipe, for the money they charged us it was not worth it at all, it was more like a 30.00 dollar a night the area was bad, they are suppose to be open 24/7 but we went they in the morning and it was closed, just a bad place to stay.

The Inn of Homestead - Not at that price!

Posted Dec 31, 2011 on Hotels.com
Nothing positive to say about this hotel beside the convenience of the location when visiting the Speedway. Rooms are mediocre, bathrooms are old and falling apart, pillows are awful, no alarm clock, no phone etc... most basic amenities are OK when you pay under fifty box per night, but at over hundred and twenty it is just NOT acceptable! Never again!

convenient location, but that's about it

Posted Mar 19, 2011
Security seemed spotty, since the lock on the door stuck, it was a regular key (so it's possible previous guests could have copied it) and the sliding glass door had a questionable lock. The room looked directly onto a busy parking lot, so keeping the curtains closed is a necessity, which makes the room pretty dark. While the room had clearly been cleaned, the bathroom just didn't look very clean. Since the tub was so dirty looking, I wasn't bothered by the lack of drain stopper, but having no stopper in the sink was a problem. They have a meager breakfast in the rather grim lobby, but bad coffee and some soggy cereal aren't exactly "amenities". Tile floors in the room were nice though.

Motel was overpriced for what it was. Management was friendly. Rooms were clean but it is an older motel.

Very basic motel

Posted Jan 1, 2011 on Hotels.com
Stopped for one night on the way to the keys. Its ok for that but not more, The hotel says that it was renovated in 2010 but it surely doesn't seem as a good job, Its a very basic motel. Room is ok and clean but not friendly. There are shops (Publix, Starbucks and more) in walking distance, but the area is not inviting. Staff is very kind. Breakfast is very basic.
