“Horrible hotel. Please spare yourself.”

Outside entrance creepy. I did not feel safe. Hotel is old, dirty and smelly. In need of new carpet, paint and linens. Killed a wasp in room, had broken hair dryer. Took sleeping pill to avoid reality of having to sleep in midst of filthy conditions. I did not even consider having breakfast, and was actually thankful housekeeping opened my door at 7:30 so I could get out early. Front desk staff were friendly, although they did not inquire as to how my night had been. I'm sure they have been told the sad truth time and time again. Avoid this location. Very uncharacteristic for Comfort Inn. I have stayed in many and very surprised they would put their name on this location.

Area recommendations

Very small town. I would recommend you go a short distance North on 85 to Greenville. They have more and better hotel choices.

Very old and out in the middle of nowhere.

I would have traveled on to Biloxi if I had known the hotel was in such poor condition.

“Traveling in the South”

I was traveling on business. When I pulled up I was a little worried because it was an older facility and the exterior paint was a bit gaudy. Even though I arrived about one hour before the check in time they had a room ready for me.The ladies behind the front desk were full of Southern hospitallity. It is an older building with exterior entrances but it had been refurbished. the furniture was comfortable and in very good condition. the desk chair was of very good quality and very comfortable. The wifi worked just fine. The carpeting was in very good condition The bathroom had been refinished and there was no signs of mold, dirty grout or cracked tiles. The king size bed was comfortable with plenty of good pillows. There was a small fridge and microwave. there was no musty or "old" smells. It was quiet and I felt safe and secure. I will stay again.

Area recommendations

There is not much here. This is a small town. Unfortunatly it is dry!. However, there is a convenient supermarket, many small shops, local restaurants and fast food businesses.
