“A nearly finshed motel that should be OK soon.”
The facility is new and still is being "debugged". I mean that technically and am not referring to insects. There were refrigerators and microwaves still in their boxes stacked up in the corridor on my floor. Since I arrived early in the afternoon, I requested that my appliances be installed. They weren't.
When I got ready to check out, I pressed the elevator call button. It illuminated while being pressed but the light went out as soon as I released it. I waited for the elevator for a while and finally took the stairs.
On the ground floor the staff had placed notices on the elevator doors. No such notices were posted on my floor. The notices stated that the elevators were out of service.
I was able to haul my gear out in two trips down the stairs. Once I finished serving as a pack animal, the elevators were returned to service.
The self closing spring hinges on the doors to the corridors made for a noisy condition at 6:00 AM when thoughtless folks let the doors slam shut.
My room was set up for the handicapped and the valve operator that allowed you to select between the upper and lower shower heads fell off in my hand. If I had my hex key set with me, I would have fixed the problem myself.
Instead of having the really great mattress that I have come to expect at Hampton Inns, my room had a mattress that was just OK and not up to par.
Other that those issues, the place was great.
